To be clear, I donated to the Cruz campaign, advised the campaign, and voted for Ted Cruz in the Missouri primary. That said, I never criticized Donald Trump in public. My reasoning was simple enough: I planned to vote for him if he won the nomination. Having written a few books about the Clintons, I knew the alternative much too well.

The #nevertrumpers represent about 2% of the GOPe. They are somewhere between Lindsey Graham and JEB. Unfortunately, they have control of some media outlets that make them appear to be larger than they are.
Additionally, because the “news” needs ratings, they give these people a voice.
LOL !!
Trump has said he does not need a unified Republican Party to win. He has said he is going to court Bernie Sanders supporters I am all for letting him do just that if he wants to.
He is running on higher taxes, higher minimum wage, Printing even more money to cover debt, Single Payer Govt Run healthcare, disbanding NATO and turning his back on Israel. That is not even the most moderate of Republican platforms and I wont have him doing that in my name.
It sounds like the same stuff Obama has gotten away with for the last 7 years and just because there is an “R” next to his name I’m supposed to get on board? Not going to happen
The #nevertrumpers represent about 2% of the GOPe.

If you really believe that, why do any of you care what they think?
Hillary thanks you for your support.
Just to refresh everyone's memory, the author of this piece, Jack Cashill, has for about the last 10 years made a career and gained a huge following reporting on the ineligibility of one BHO to hold office as the president because of his lack of NBC standing.
Although his sentiments in this case regarding the #NeverTrump fools is correct, how he could so enthusiastically support the candidacy of Ted Cruz, while railing against (and rightfully so) on BHO and his ineligibility to hold the office has never been explained, to my knowledge.
One thing I've learned from this campaign is that for some people, "conservative principles" are the most important thing in the world, unless they conflict with what they want.
To insult Trump is to insult his voters. That is exactly right, and it is exactly why Jack Kemp - whom I had previously followed assiduously - imploded during the 1996 VP debate with Al Gore, and ceased being presidential timber in my eyes.Al Gore complimented Kemp that he was not a racist like the rest of the Republican Party - and Kemp accepted it as a compliment.
In so doing, he effectively called me a racist - and I ceased thinking Jack Kemp should be POTUS. It was a pathetic performance.
“If you really believe that, why do any of you care what they think?”
I don’t and that’s the point.
I think you meant to ping another on this one?
Woops, sorry
No worries.
Im not voting for Hillary. Does Trump thank me for his support?
“Shhh... they are busy being petulant children like their godking Trump.”
Project much? What are you going to do when Cruz endorses the nominee? You know it’s coming. Unless, of course, Raphael isnt a man of his word. That wouldn’t be “principled”, would it?
Ok, you can sit it out from FR for the duration.
Another Trump hating flake who would gladly see globalist, anti-American psychopath Hillary finish off the country.
+1
