Trump knows what he’s doing.
I think he’s right. Donald will go farther with more GOP support. He doesn’t have to sell out all that makes him Donald, but some compromise on demeanor is appropriate.
Some degree of being a Team Player is essential to open support.
This may be due to a civilizing influence from Paul Manafort or Chris Christie. Trump may not have paid much heed to Lewandowski, even though Donald thought well of him personally. Lewandowski looked and (impulsively) acted as though he were one of Trumps adult sons.
Stupid, if sincere.
BRILLIANT, if simply a feint to get them off-balance for some additional pummeling, later.
REBEL HAS WORKED, REBEL *WILL* WORK.
Knocking off Ryan would play better.
Except for immigration enforcement there’s not much violently disputed between him and the GOPe. Most of their differences can be glossed over.
Perhaps he can do fund-raisers for RINO candidates that will suffer from the loss of their Open Borders donors.
It took Trump 2 weeks to bury Joe NBC, who was his biggest “insider” & “Florida” supporter.
Trump’s brashness and ego is a good thing. I don’t think he is going to tolerate much crap.
The GOPe will never make nice with Trump unless he abandons his “America First” message and embraces their globalist, one world government agenda.
This is why the GOPE will support Hillary. She is a globalist, one world government person as well.
If members of the GOPe make nice with Trump, I will be very suspicious of what agreement took place.
Who would have thought trump would engage the GOPe? I’m shocked.
“I’ve decided that getting along is better,” he said. “I think it will play well in Washington.””
GOPe money is green like any other.
Careful, Trump. Republicans going along to get along WILL play well in Washington, but it'll lose you a lot of support in places where you've previously done well.
I've written this before: Trump will do well as long as he doesn't apologize for telling the truth.
“Ed Klein writes in a blog post to be published Tuesday.
“I first thought I might be better off without Ryan and the support of the party,” Klein quotes Trump. “I’ve done great as a rebel up to now with fantastic crowds everywhere, and for a time I was going to play the meeting in Washington as a rebel.”
But Trump told Klein that while being a rebel in the primary season is fine, the general election is different.
“So I’ve decided that getting along is better,” he said. “I think it will play well in Washington.””
I think this is total bullshit. The quote is total bullshit. The attribution is for a BLOG post to be posted TOMORROW. And why would Trump even talk to a non-entity like this Edward Klein person, much less say something like this?
The fabricated quote doesn’t even sound like Trump.

Trump will make them an offer they can’t refuse.
I’ve said all along that Trump will say whatever he needs to behind closed doors.
He will tell them whatever they want to hear, under the proviso they keep it quiet until after the election.
Then he will screw them!
