how dare you post that “tone” of communication to all the “no bad language” conservatives???
Gotta love this guy you posted quotes from. Relative of Patton? or MacArthur? or just your run of the Mill, retired Marine General.

Duncan Hunter Jr. if you want to go military, and still have someone who knows what’s really going on in Paul Ryan’s house.

Would picking General Petreaus be the ultimate trolling of Hillary?
I don’t know. I’m asking.

After Haditha, I wouldn’t recommend Mattis for anything more than a state legislator’s job. He is not presidential material.
He was caught engaging in illegal command influence trying to railroad the Haditha Marines falsely prosecuted for protecting their lives in Haditha, Iraq.
He should NEVER be anywhere near a heartbeat from the presidency.
IF you want a warrior general, then look elsewhere.

No offense to Allen West but I would prefer a very high ranking military person with lots of connections inside our military. Also with a very high IQ and a brilliant strategic mind.

Recent generations aren't that familiar with generals. It's not like it was back in the 1940s. Plus, military brass won't have much patience with the kind of massaging of voters that candidates have to do (admittedly, some generals do too much of that sort of thing -- being ingratiating with people they need to impress -- but those who hit the right balance of independence and persuasiveness are hard to find).
Unconventional candidates haven't had much luck with military running mates: Wallace-LeMay 1968, Perot-Stockdale 1992.

No thanks. Mattis has a lotta big talk. But he let Wuterich get arrested for a combat action. He let those Haditha guys swing in the wind.
And I don’t want the childlife life of a military base. I haven’t seen the slightest indication that he would be a good president. Commandant Vandegrift woulda thrown the FBI right off the island if they showed up to prosecute Marines on Iwo. Allen west would make the cut for me.
But this is not a time to dive deeper into war.
This is a time for a smart, businesslike, private sector mentality. No politicians, no Obama military men. Just a person like Trump described already. Some heartless, ice cold, no nonsense negotiator.

In the past, before the St.L country club "Republicans" destroyed her, Sara Steelman of Missouri would have been my choice. A blond hair version of Sarah Palin. Pro-Second Amendment. Pro-RTW. Anti tax, etc.
Had she been elected instead of Jay Nixon (Hillary's possible VP choice) as Governor of Missouri she would have sufficient name recognition, track record, etc. by now. Alas, it is not to be....
