Pastor Gary Fuller planned a Sunday service focused on involving Christians in the political process and featuring a speech by the pastor father of Sen. Ted Cruz. But after a week in which Cruz abruptly dropped out of the race, his father scrapped his appearance here and Donald Trump became the Republican Partys standard-bearer, a dismayed Fuller kept the political portion short.

The Washington Post, as noted by others, is just playing the part of the 'Concern Troll'. They are the ones who are going to be abandoned unless they repent and attach their anchor to The Rock.
Vote Trump
President Trump offers our best opportunity to halt the illegal invasion and right the ship before we slip into history.

Bottom Line
“Evangelicals is such a broad range of voters nowadays.
Fact is, Ted Cruzs base support was among the rapture-ready, dispensationalist wing of born-again evangelicals.”
Are you sure about that? I would limit it to a certain segment of dispensationalist Mormons.
But I have a couple a girl friends in Arizona from high school back in the 60s, who supported Cruz to the very end and are now so devastated that their guy dropped out and Trump is the nominee, that they are beyond distraught with despair. They refuse to even concede that the race is over a week after their candidate dropped out and swear to never vote for Trump.
Well, most people get over their wounded egos and thin skins and will vote for the Republican nominee in November. But these two gals, I fear, have permanently damaged their psyches because of their irrational behavior. Other friends are concerned about their mental health after all the stress of the campaign. They took it too personally and can't unravel themselves from their vision of Cruz as president. We hope time will bring them back to reality.
Life is too short to destroy yourself over things you can't control.
very short list
“The thing some people dont realize is, we are not voting for a Pastor. Were voting for a President.”
When one of you innovative thinkers comes up with a creative thought please post it — rather than this worn out talking point posted endlessly.
Many of us want the person occupying the presidency to be a moral leader — not sinless — but neither a role model for bad behavior.
alL THE EVANGELICALS I KNOW ARE SUPPORTING tRUMP.
>Many of us want the person occupying the presidency to be a moral leader not sinless but neither a role model for bad behavior.
Then Ben Carson was you guy.
That’s pretty funny considering Trump won the Evangelical vote all over the country.
Evangelicals are a very large part of the Republican electorate. Trump cannot win without getting a whole lot more than just 50 or 60%. He knows this too.
He had some good qualities but not presidential, IMO, and too much a novice at the whole political thing.
The Washington Post can barely disguise their hatred for Trump... it’s not that they give a damn about evangelicals.. it’s them feeding any scraps of hatred they can find from anyone..
Sick people...
I do not think he will be back.
He and his wife are creations of the Goldman Sachs machine. I believe he will destroy what support he has left by opposing the securing of the border.
I think you are right. When did the wapo ever care about the religious right or evangelicals? NEVER. They always demean them.
I’m a Cruzer and will vote for Trump, but This is a hit piece to drive evangelicals away from Trump.
Yep. They found some sore Cruzor Loser evangelicals, and now are trying to spin it to bolster their “Repbulican civil war” meme.
This is a lie. Evangelicals voted for Trump in the majority.
Most evangelicals voted for Trump. But the Moemons don’t seem to be happy
