(CNSNews.com) - In a weekly address celebrating Mothers Day, President Barack Obama on Saturday called for paid paternity leave.
He also said: lets give mothers the respect they deserve.
Giving flowers is always a good idea, Obama said. But I hope that on this Mothers Day, well recommit ourselves to doing more than that: Through deeds that match our words, lets give mothers the respect they deserve, give all women the equality they deserve, and give all parents the support they need in their most important roles.

Hey... it's Obama-Free-Stuff! ('cept YOU pay)
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Tone deaf as always, Baraq.
I was working with a flooring company owner at one of my properties. I was on a tight schedule and at 5pm his crew went home. It was just him and me. I asked why he sent them home and he said, by law, he had to pay them overtime for any single day that they worked over eight hours. Even though they wouldn’t get 40 hours in the week and they were desperate for the money, the law said no. He explained that if he paid overtime then in a few hours he was working for free. He said that he might go weeks between jobs and then have three at the same time and the overtime reduced his profit sometimes to zero. The government doesn’t care what the impact is when they give away other people’s money.
Paid paternity leave? Is he planning on getting pregnant when he leaves office?
Apparently, Obama’s strategy in the waning months of his term is to create as much confusion as possible and turn one group against another.
Um, they can already get paternity leave under the Family Medical Leave Act. Idiot doesn’t even know existing law.

HEY . . . IT'S ALL FREE MONEY!!!
Save money, and you can pay yourself the leave.
Like what small business can afford to pay you for not working because you decided it was time to have a kid?
That’s your personal life. Plan ahead like an adult.
I'm scratching my head here.
Government through taxes and regulation have forced most mothers into the workforce just to get by. Then they want business to be more compassionate. Cut the taxes you confiscate from working families to fund the non-productive and we wouldn’t need paternity leave
Need an extra percent? Come out against Keystone get some enviros. Need anther percent? Bingo, gay marriage! Another? Paid leave for effeminate males! Anything to stay in power and wreck civilization.
Men can already get off when their wife has a child......It’s called “vacation”....
Even large, “rich” corporations could not afford this.
The cost would not merely come in the form of the employee’s hourly wage, but also in the lost productivity that would result from their absence.
I currently hold a supervisory position overseeing a group that provides time-critical R&D chemical shipments, information, and services. No one else in my region could effectively fill that position without extensive, time-consuming cross-training. I’m sure there are millions of other men and companies in the same circumstance.
I think what he meant was ‘the baby mamma’.
His thinking in Ebonics and translating to English goes awry sometimes.
Baraq is a rich kid form a tizzy private school in Hawaii.
He has no clue about ebonics...or a myriad of other things which are as quintessentially American.
lets give mothers the respect they deserve. .....I’m not reading his crap. Did he mean mothers or baby mommas?
I would think that he meant, baby’s mommas. I did not am not going to read it.
The headline talked about "PAID" paternity leave. I don't think FMLA is paid. Obama is great at spending other people's money. Apparently he considers Bernie Sanders to be an economic genius, because they think money grows from special magic money trees. Or it is unicorn tears?
