Pass the Prilosec.
Rarely have so many nasty words had to be eaten by so many politicians in such a short time.
Former Texas governor Rick Perry had been early among Republicans in declaring that Donald Trump was unfit to be president, saying last July that his then-rival for the presidential nomination was a barking carnival act and a cancer on conservatism.
That was then.
On Thursday, Perry endorsed the GOPs nominee-apparent and even suggested he would be willing to be Trumps running mate.
He is not a perfect man. But what I do believe is that he loves this country and he will surround himself with capable, experienced people and he will listen to them, Perry said.
He is far from the only one. When former Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal was still in the race last September, he had called Trump dangerous and a narcissist and an egomaniac. Now, Jindal has also endorsed Trump, though he acknowledged: Im not happy about it.
Donald Trump is a delusional narcissist and an orange-faced windbag. A speck of dirt is way more qualified to be president, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) had said of the front-runner in January, during an appearance on Comedy Centrals The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore.
But in April, after his own presidential hopes had been extinguished, Paul said he would support Trump if he were the partys nominee.
There is one Republican who is thoroughly enjoying the whole awkward spectacle of it all.
People that have said terrible things about me have been on the phone with me over the last two days saying, We want to join the Trump team, Trump said in an interview Tuesday night, as the returns in Indiana were shutting down any hope his critics had of blocking his nomination.

In other words, Trump added, theyre politicians. ...........................He's so right!
And it’s not just GOPes eating their words.
The media establishment are too, and some of them quite literally, LOL
Before I even paid attention it amazed me how the horrible guy in the primary was still better than the even more horrible guy in the general.
Won’t ever have to eat their words about Obama, though.
At least Perry, Jindal, and the rest of them know that we are up against Hillary Clinton.
I hope Trump is making a list.
So, those political big-wigs fell for the media anti-Trump line at first, and then began to pay attention to the actual man and changed their minds.
Good for them. It takes a lot of courage to admit when one has been wrong.
so... Is FR going to support Trump or not? I’m curious.
Bernie Sanders supporters are handling being blatantly cheated better than #NeverTrumpers are handling being beaten by Trump fair & square
As for the FR TDSers, let them eat zot.
i believe jim has made his thoughts on that clear
where? I’d like to see...
Give this message to Sanders supporters: The Republican elite who Trump defeated (Ryan, Romney, the Bushes) are supporting a victory for hillary. Are they seriously considering voting for the preferred candidate of Ryan, Jeb, and Romney if Sanders fails in his quest?
post #1 pretty much covers his thoughts lol
Thanks... Eventually everyone will be on board. Don’t worry about it.
Incredible, they cave in to obama in a nano second but takes ten months to even BEGIN to do the same for Trump.
“Pass the Prilosec.”
People have different reasons to support Trump. Here are mine:
Think of the people who are having agita, sleeping problems, developing ulcers, drinking Maalox by the carton at the thought of a Trump presidency. Some examples:
Hollywood liberals like Sean Penn, Rosie ODonnell, Oprah
Leftist news hacks like Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Rachel Maddow
RINOs like Paul Ryan, John McCain, Lindsey Graham
“Unbiased” news people like Jim Lehrer, George Stephanopolous
Aren’t these people you WANT agitated? Annoyed? Sickened? I know I am happy when they’re unhappy and nothing is making them more unhappy than Trump.
I hope they all get ulcers. They’ve certainly caused worse on our side.
