In a tearful segment before a studio audience on Thursday, Glenn Beck said he believes America is a “petulant child” that God has warned repeatedly and now must punish.
Beck, a fervent supporter of Sen. Ted Cruz, campaigned tirelessly for the Texas senator, who he believed to be “the next George Washington” and a man “anointed” by God and “raised for these times.”

Off his meds againThat exact phrase was my first reaction, too.
The problem with people who are like Beck (manic, obsessive, I don't know the exact classification) is that they can be very engaging, logical, and convincing, for a while. He was quite the sensation on FOX for a while.
But, he's gotten full of his own twaddle, IMHO, and is getting messianic. Time to recalibrate, Mr. Beck.
