Shockingly, a lot of this is not new reporting on Rhodes. It has been on his Wikipedia page a long time that he was an MFA in creative writing and nobody ever raised an alarm bell. What a joke.

"Rhodes comes off like a real asshole. This is not a matter of politics
I have voted for Obama twice. Nor do I mind Rhodess contempt for many political reporters: Most of the outlets are reporting on world events from Washington.
The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. Thats a sea change. They literally know nothing. An absolutely true statement.
Oh, to own the replacement panty concession in DC. A license to print money these days.

For Ben Rhodes the title of ‘Asshole’ would be an upgrade.

is the kid merely incompetent and egotistical?
he won’t last long there unless he’s also a committed anti-American IslamoNazi
mere incompetence ain’t enough to hold a job like that in the O administration
not nearly enough

Perhaps the key sentence is this: His lack of conventional real-world experience of the kind that normally precedes responsibility for the fate of nations like military or diplomatic service, or even a masters degree in international relations, rather than creative writing is still startling. Wait - do they mean Obama? Either way, its clear Rhodes is there to make Obama feel good about himself.

I deeply regret standing up for this douche, when a senior in High school wanted to shove him in a locker.
Ben was very smart and always knew how to curry favor with authority, while holding everyone in contempt. If New York is nuked, I will drag him through the rubble to locker him, if it kills me.

Creative writing? Obama’s foreign policy guru has a master’s degree in creative writing and no foreign policy chops whatsoever?
My mom’s cats have started attacking her toilet paper, and even they could do a better job running the country.
