What BS from Levin today. If he’d bother to review some past primaries, he’d probably learn that 42% is more than some past nominees had won at the point they became the presumptive nominee. And Trump may well have 50% once every state has voted.
And to say, over and over and over, that Trump did not get 50% is one of the dumbest non-arguments ever. Levin and many others assume that Trump would have gotten 0% of that other 58% if there were runoff elections.
Levin seems to be getting worse instead of better.
Sorry, Levin, you were not at Iwo Jima and playing that gives you no additional credibility. I had ancestors who fought in every war since the Indian Massacre at Jamestown and that doesn’t give me any additional credibility.
Stop invoking historical events that do not relate to this Republican primary and your refusal to accept the vote of the people.
These are numbers of votes the eventual nominee received during the primaries.
GWB has the highest number, at 12million, but Trump still has several states remaining and is on track to pass GWB’s high-water mark.
Trump: 10,713,112 (to date, there are still more primaries)
Romney: 10,031, 336 (after ALL primaries)
McCain: 9,902,797 (2008)
GW Bush: 7,853,863 (2004)
GW Bush: 12,034,676 (2000)
Dole: 9,024,742
GHW Bush: 9,199,463 (1992)
GHW Bush: 8,253,512 (1988)
Reagan: 6,484,987 (1984)
Reagan: 7,709,793 (1980)
Levin plays the victim card like a Dem. Pretending that the primary brawl was one way. Poor Cruz. Levin really should get his head checked since he clearly has amnesia and can’t recall all the slime buckets dumped on us by Cruz.
