"Political campaigns dont need artists permission to play their songs at rallies as long as the political organization or the venue has gotten whats known as a blanket license from the performing rights organizations ASCAP and BMI for all the music in the licensing groups repertoire."
The legal technicalities of these kinds of disputes are out of my area of expertise (assuming I have an area of expertise), but the moral argument is clear, i.e., if the Stones can refuse to allow Trump to play their music because they don't like Trump's policies, why can't a Christian baker refuse to service a gay wedding?

This is the Stones grabbing for publicity, but, if I were the event planner for Trump rallies, I would double the number of Stones songs currently in the rotation.

I’ve heard a lot of them have been busy doing horrible things on the internet.

Yet, the stupid stones go to Cuba for a free concert. What A$$holes.

These tossers will play for Castro’s Cuba “free”- but don’t want a CAPITALIST to play their RECORDS?
You’re a moron, Mick. I hope Trump bans all of your music from his hotel bars.

I think that is right.
The Rolling Stones would be liable for a discrimination suit.
