What you say about Newt is true, and I would not be unhappy about him as a vp.
Not too happy about Newt and Pelosi on the sofa though.

I didn't like Newt allying with Pelosi but VEEP doesn't make policy or choose who to align with, he supports the President and executes his agenda. In Newt's case, he is uniquely qualified to shepherd a President Trump legislative agenda through congress.

Besides, I'll forgive Newt that one stupid moment on the sofa with Pelosi (gosh that sounds bad, no matter how you interpret it!) and choose instead to credit him with the contract with America and his heroic work in stymieing Bill Clinton's agenda so much that people now think he was a good President.
