AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he's not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that's Rush, for those in Rio Linda), the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back - just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America's anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A real man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do - host. Get ready to what you were born to do - listen. And post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread.
I wonder if Mr. Cruz bothered to show up to work this morning. Or is he taking a vacation or plotting in California? These politicians need to be kicked to the curb!
How could I have agreed with this man for 15+ years, and now suddenly see some serious amorality in the guy?
I've been wondering this too and thinking am I totally seeing this wrong. Look I've been wrong before but this really does look like some sort of jealousy or a straight on conspiracy.
How long has this been going on - I guess since we stopped when and started having meaningless victories.
Now with these 28 missing pages, how the Bushes are behaving, things are a bit adrift
This is so true and very interesting - these talkers look as though that they are the shills our guts are telling us they are
We've been had. No More!
Earlier tonight I suddenly noticed that we hadn't heard Preacher Ted's voice for two solid days now. My husband replied: "No wonder we've been in such a good mood!"
As far as I know, Jeff Kuhner is based in Boston, MA, and his conservative talk radio show is only carried in that area.
I could be wrong. Biggirl: Do you know if Kuhner is nationally syndicated?
Yes, all of the MLB radio broadcasts are doing it now... it's so annoying. I hear it in my area on Red Sox, Yankees and Mets broadcasts. Plus we can hear all 30 of the MLB teams' broadcasts on Sirius/XM.
The Yankees broadcasts are still BY FAR the worst, as far as numerous sponsors and ads though! Gotta pay A-Fraud's salary, after all... ;-)
LOL! You're probably right! ;-D
A-Roid... that's far better than my nickname for him: A-Fraud.
Research question.
If you tune into or go to a weekday Yankees or mets game. They don’t do seventh inning song do they?
LOL! My somewhat a-political husband loathed Cruz.
If you tune into or go to a weekday Yankees or mets game. They dont do seventh inning song do they?
I don't know offhand... "God Bless America"? I'm pretty sure the Yankees play that song during the 7th inning on Sundays (as do the Red Sox). I'm not sure what song (if any) the Yankees play on weeknight/day games. I'd have to get back to you on that one.
I'm a Red Sox fan. At all home games at Fenway Park, "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond is always played in the middle of the 8th inning. At home Baltimore Orioles games (Oriole Park at Camden Yards), they play John Denver's "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" in the 7th inning.
Of course "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" is always played at home Red Sox, Yankees and Mets games in the 7th inning (7th inning stretch). Strangely, I don't think "Take Me Out.." is played at Camden Yards though.
Our first-ever political rally (10/19/00) was supposed to be a handful of Lazio and NYC-based GWB for President volunteers quietly standing on a street corner near David Letterman's studio holding signs "Welcome Gov. and Mrs. Bush". The purpose was to be visible when Dubya's motorcade drove by, dropping him off at Letterman's studio.
What we found when we got there were about 1,000+ wild-eyed, shouting angry Teamsters, SEIU and other union members across the narrow street from us. Gathered under a giant blown-up black rat. They had just spilled out of a massive Gore/Lieberman, pro-Hillary rally at a nearby hotel. They had been fed with "George W. Bush is going to take away your union jobs and benefits!" lib union propaganda, and were loaded for bear. Some of the bigger, tougher looking guys even nearly threatened physical violence.
It was exhilarating and exciting, we had never faced anything like this before. Hubby and I were hooked. ;-)
I found FR in 2000 and connected to so many like-minded conservatives, both online only and in person, and the rest is history. I'm still a bigger political junkie than hubby, but he's not far behind me.
Quite an experience! I always thought Lazio won that famous debate - Hillary did too which is why the early reports were that she and her staff were depressed after the debate. Then one of her Carville-types came up with “Lazio invaded her space” which my idiot fellow NYers agreed with - no matter how wrong-headed and childish. A senator was born!
My husband tried to get rid of his union staff about ten years ago and he ended up with the giant rat outside his building, lol. New York unions are a disgrace.
And when the Yankees win at Yankee stadium, they play Frank singing “New York, New York.” When they lose, we get stuck with Liza.
Why are Trump supporters always cut off?
I was ... Well it’s for something I’m writing. I don’t think they’d play Irving Berlin (God Bless America) on a weekday. Thought I’d ask
