U.S. companies added jobs at the slowest pace in three years in April, a private survey found, a sign that slower growth and volatile financial markets could weigh on hiring.
Payroll processor ADP said Wednesday that businesses added 156,000 jobs in April, down from 194,000 in March. Manufacturers shed 11,000 jobs, after losing 3,000 the previous month. Services firms added 166,000, down from 189,000.
The slowdown was also driven by weaker hiring at medium and larger companies. Small businesses added jobs at the same pace as previous months.

Duhhhh...no fecal matter, Sherlock, just ask the people.
Opps. Guess we need another Recovery Summer.
Great news. Grandma Yellen to hit the
ctrl-P keys.
My advice to prospective employers. Just ignore the fact that your local and/or state government can, at its will, mandate you raise your employee’s wages above that which is sustainable.
The death of your business is what is called “Collateral damage.” It’s only Social Justice.
Oh, but, hey, according to Obama, it is the greatest economy in the last 50 years, and the lapdog media lap it up.
Unemployment figures are below 5%, but 92 million out-of-work are not included.
They are playing the same ole fun-with-numbers game they have been playing for 7+ years to make Obama look good for his legacy.
All those subsidies for solar and home insulation service jobs must be winding down.
Isn’t making solar parts one of the only manufacturing sectors left?
Forcing businesses to install separate tranny bathrooms could stimulate job growth .
We need more nonsense legislation everywhere.
California gets a bullet train.
Surely there are more stupid ideas out there to postpone the inevitable.
In addition to the 92 million out of work what about the millions of Americans who can’t find permanent full time work and are forced to do several part-time jobs, or work for temp agencies. The American people are suffering big time, but you wouldn’t know it with the rosy scenarios always being portrayed in the MSM.
IMHO it’s only going to take one glitch to send the economy into a chaotic spiral.
Hillary is having a really bad couple of days, eh?
As globalization moves in and they begin bringing in workers from China and India and paying them 2 dollars/hour and no benefits (as I recently read in an article regarding the wages of foreign engineers), you will see a lot of negative change; one way or the other.
We can not permit companies/corporations to turn us into a third world dung hole in the name of multiculturalism, global worker competition and free markets. Seems we are going back to the future and that will be the Left’s playground.
