Fires around Orthodox Easter torch 3 churches in 3 cities
Investigators in three cities are looking into large fires at Orthodox churches that occurred around the religion's Easter celebrations and caused widespread damage.
The blazes in New York City, as well as Melbourne and Sydney in Australia, caused only minor injuries, according to multiple reports.

The article states that the CHurches that were burned were 2 Yugoslavian and 1 Greek. Balkan Muslims?
NYC? there a number of spectacular churches i’ve seen in my 30 years working in Manhattan.
I couldn’t tell you if this one in the pic is from NYC or not but this is a shame and probably a crime.

That picture is the Manhattan church.
There is a USA flag on the church and NYC in the window to the right side. So it looks like it is in New York. My guess anyway.

The cathedral, formerly known as Trinity Chapel, was designed in 1850 by architect Richard M. Upjohn in the Gothic Revival style.
The chapel was an Episcopal Church for several decades until 1915, when the area became more commercial and parishioners decided to relocate.
The Serbian Orthodox Church purchased the structure from the Episcopal Diocese in New York in 1943.
I didn’t want to say it looked really familiar just because I’m from NYC, but it did/does!

As to the perpetrators, forgetting the Crimean War (1853-1856), etc., or the Turks confiscating at least 12 facilities in Anatolia, it's always a sure bet to remember:

It doesn’t look like it faces Broadway, and though I may have walked by it on 25th street one time, I can’t say I remember seeing it.
Broadway has the express bus so i would have definitely seen it on that route if it was facing broadway.
