Honestly, I think DT is just saying the things he thinks people want to hear. When it comes down to brass tacks, he will be a populist president, IOW, he will give the people what they want in order to mollify them. I don’t believe he has any regard for the founders or the Constitutional principles upon which this country was founded. He will rule as a benevolent dictator unless he is checked by congress or the courts.
That is my opinion. I hope I’m wrong.

Also, I think Clinton is starting to crater. I don’t think a convention time rescue by Biden is an impossible thing to have happen.

Some of us old farts supported Pinochet over Allende for the same reason. The Jean Kirkpatrick doctrine I believe. But that was before I thought of America as a third world tin pot dictatorship.
