Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is standing his ground in his belief that allowing transgender people to use the bathroom of their choice "opens the door for predators," dismissing criticism from Caitlyn Jenner, who mocked him over the issue last week.

WHY DOES THE SLIMY CANADIAN LAWYER HAVE IN HIS SEALED RECORDS???
HAVE WE LEARNED NOTHING FROM FOREIGNERS WITH SEALED RECORDS??
good
Good CEO. I'm sure he knows to select good people and yes he is not a GOP insider
He may be closer to a Democrat non-establishment insider but I'm not scared of that part.
The scary part is that he does indeed knows what people like to hear from him ( and for the moment it is “WE THE PEOPLE” ) I'm scared of the fact that he doesn't have a real “WE THE PEOPLE” track record and once he will be the nominee or POTUS his desire to be liked will make him to be every thing to everybody. And since the liberal media will do to him even more that it did to GWB he will start giving them what they want, to be praised not only by the republicans, to be praised by liberals too or even Europe. It takes strong principles to stand against the tsunami the media will hit him day after day. Yes he can take hits well and can/does hit back. But without the core principles that Reagan had Trump when hits back is just an eye for an eye if he is not able to articulate in an instant the moral superiority of his position in time it will sound just mean.
That old FDR quote “speak softly but carry a big stick” for Trump is speak big with carry a soft (moral)stick.
Can’t agree with that, George.
I think he’ll stick to his principles, and still manage to be liked by most.- he’s just that likeable and charismatic.
Excuse me. GREG. ;)
RE: WHY DOES THE SLIMY CANADIAN LAWYER HAVE IN HIS SEALED RECORDS???
What a crock. When you are unable to attack Cruz on his policy, revert to conspiracy theories.
The claim that Cruz is hiding his birth records seems to have been made first by J.B. Williams of NewsWithViews.com
Does Williams provide any source for his claim? Nope. All he does is say it and then it gets picked up by of all people -— Dianne Marshall of the Marshall Report.
J.B. Williams appears to be a disgruntled former Obama birther, as well.
The fact that there is absolutely no basis for this charge does not stop Cruz birthers from making the fake claim all over social media.
You are simply repeating it.
RE: Apparently you failed to read my post about the trillions weve poured down sh*tholes. THIS was looted from the SS funds. NO other country is this stupid. This needs to stop and stop NOW.
Let’s ask ourselves this question -— did we attack Afghanistan prior to Sep 11, 2001?
No we did not. But they attacked us.
So what do you expect Americans to do after we discovered that Osama Bin Ladin was behind it and Mullah Ohmar, leader of the Taliban was protecting him in that S***thole called Afghanistan?
Apparently, by your lights, because we do not want to spend money which could have been used for your precious Social Security, we should just let Osama Bin Ladin go and not invade Afghanistan and save those billions.... Yeah, that’ll do the trick.
Allow more terrorists to attack us and then when dictators all over the world thumb their noses at our great country and give sanctuary to these animals, just let them be because we do not want to spend money which should have been spent on social security.
If I were to follow your logic, we might as well cut our military budget and use that money to pay for social security.
And when countries like Iran are developing nukes and ballistic missiles to one day reach Israel and eventually, Europe and the USA, let’s not engage them at all because, hey — we should be using that money for social security.
Yeah, that’ll work ( if you have a country t pick up ones you bury your dead from the ashes ).
RE: WHY ARE HIS RECORDS SEALED???
They’re not.
If they were, the MSM would be all over it since they hate his guts and would love to see him go away.
Yes they are. Read the articles.
GOODNIGHT, seekandFind. Have a nice night.
RE: Yes they are. Read the articles.
I’d like you to read these articles :
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/19/ted-cruz-birth-certificate_n_3779105.html
Ted Cruz Releases Birth Certificate Amid Eligibility Discussion
Note the date -— THAT WAS 2 1/2 years ago.
The document, published by the Dallas Morning News, confirms that Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta to an American mother, immediately making Cruz a citizen of both the United States and Canada.
He of course renounced his Canadian Citizenship, so I don’t know why you keep on harping about “Canadian” when it no longer applies to him.
Senator Cruz became a U.S. citizen at birth, and he never had to go through a naturalization process after birth to become a U.S. citizen.
Secondly, if Ted Cruz were not a US Citizen as those Google links you provide insinuates, what passport did he use to travel overseas to Israel, Ukraine and opther cpuntries?
see here:
http://dailysignal.com/2014/05/28/overseas-trip-cruz-lends-support-israel-ukraine/
How can he go as a US Senator without an American Passport?
Can a Canadian Citizen who is not an American legislator and who does not hold a US passport meet with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, Economy Minister Naftali Bennett and the opposition Labor Partys Knesset leader, Isaac Herzog?
Common sense tells us that all these conspiracy theories are NUTS.
Finally, we have had as far as I can count, several court challenges to Ted Cruz’s eligibility to ran for President — from New Hampshire to Pennsylvania (Supreme Court) to New Jersey. ALL of these courts have found him eligible.
Yet, people persists in insisting he isn’t. I find this pathetic.
Look, if you don’t like Ted Cruz that’s your prerogative, but the least you could do is argue against him base on his RECORD and POLICIES. That you have to resort to conspiracy theories is just sad.
Shouldnt you be supporting Cruz on this issue regardless even if you support Trump as the nominee?
I do support Cruz's stance on the issue - that wasn't the point of my post. I was just noting that Cruz is flailing about lately in a desperate attempt to find something that Trump doesn't own and which might resonate with Cruz's Base (such as it is these days).
I have asked Cruz's campaign to stop calling me at least a dozen times over the last two months and I still average 3 calls a day (some as late as 9 PM) - even the callers sound as if they realize that they are trying to resurrect a dead horse, but they do keep plugging on - they say his concerted efforts to thwart the will of the voters is a "methodical strategy to a contested convention" and claim he hasn't made deal one with anyone....
You've hit on an important problem we have with our elected leaders. They often pass laws (to placate constituents) then do NOT allocate funds to make the law 'happen'. It's one reasons we're sick of the political Establishments. The laws they pass that DO have teeth are ones that protect themselves and their friends/donors.
It's also a reason Trump's popular. He's running on the idea he can't be bought by powerful interest groups because he's refusing to take their money. He's also saying he knows politicians are 'bought' because he's bought them in the past. Anyone who's been around knows this is true.
Our people go to Washington often with modest means and within a few years they're millionaires. They've created artful laws that allow them the means to become very wealthy WITHOUT their actions being called bribes or insider trading etc.
As to ' the Wall' - Trump isn't going to send Mexico a bill. They would refuse that... what he'll do is subtract the money from money that flows to Mexico. It's actually pretty easy to do...
Anyhow share your instincts because people like you who have lived under Communism have a much more sensitive awareness of the totalitarian boot. Cubans miss much of Sander's charm for the same reason - they 'get' the underlying horror that comes with Communism.
Years ago a family member visited Romania - she said it was beautiful and the people were her favorite.
RE: I do support Cruz’s stance on the issue - that wasn’t the point of my post. I was just noting that Cruz is flailing about lately in a desperate attempt to find something that Trump doesn’t own
Well if that were so, this thread does not show it. The fact is, he was SPECIFICALLY ASKED by Jake Tapper about this issue.
What else can he do once the issue was brought up but give him his thoughts?
It’s not as if he is making this a campaign issue, bring it up over and over again in his speeches ( unlike Trump who keep harping about the issue of Cruz being a natural born citizen ).
Trump ain't the only one and it will be part of the Dem's arsenal if he manages to thwart the will of the voters. He has yet to produce any definitive documentation - one would think he would have put it to bed if he had such available to him.
I get a sour taste when he says, "it's not stealing if the delegates disagree with the voters and decide to take the election process back".... Any doubts that it is the GOPe Machine that made it possible for so many delegates to jump ship and how, now that Trump is looking more inevitable, a number are expressing that they may not stay "jumped". The GOPe and RNC are removing some of the pressure because they are starting to understand what kind of pressure may be in store for them if they keep on with the plan to "not steal" the nomination....
Folks claim that Cruz is beholden to nobody yet he had a small cadre of big money folks driving his funding and even making matching donations for those that kept buying into all the emergency crises that his phone callers kept notifying us of. After over a dozen requests to be taken off their call lists, I still get 3 calls a day and some as late as 9 PM - and when told that I don't think Cruz is on the right track, they try to say he has a strategic and methodical campaign laid out to stop Trump (the will of the voters) - they are as tone deaf as he is. I started going "AARP" on them when they mail requests - I write a note saying "Get out, now" and drop it in the mail w/o adding a stamp or return address so they end up getting stuck with the postage bill.
OTOH, after making several donations to trump, I have received zero emails/mailer/calls asking for more money.
Just as Carly was a pander-driven move of desperation, a lot of his statements these days seem the same - especially as he promotes it as a battle of good vs. evil with himself as the presumed good one and has been telling us how Indiana is the last real chance for "good" to prevail.
He's flailing......
