In a special video posted to his website today, Glenn Beck addressed news reports of the latest mass layoffs at his troubled media empire.
According to a report yesterday in the Daily Beast, Beck laid off 40 employees of his Blaze media organization “in order to satisfy the requirements of a multimillion-dollar bank loan taken out recently to keep Beck’s revenue-challenged enterprise running.”
As the Daily Beast noted, “This latest round of mass firings comes as no surprise to insiders at The Blaze and Mercury Radio Arts, which laid off dozens of employees last May on a day referred to internally as ‘Black Monday,’ around the same time that Beck was purchasing a private jetliner and a $200,000 Maybach sedan.”

Maybe Beck has supported him because they are part of the same scam.
I think Beck was originally a good man with a vision.
However, some people are very sensitive to the pressure of public attention. It breaks them; they become parodies of their former selves. There is no shortage of broken people in show business: Rosie O’Donnell, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, etc. Adults are usually more resistant to the toxic effects of publicity, but they break, as well.
I think Beck just plain broke.

Beck went off the rails WAY before he hooked up with the Cruz campaign...
His demise by going bat shit crazy was written a long time ago...the chickens are now coming home t roost...
Beck was breaking long before the presidential campaign season. His support of Cruz is a symptom, not a cause.
Of course you’re right...but don’t go over the top labeling this post a (gag) “lie”.
Beck was off the rails BEFORE Cruz.
But his demented mindset figured Cruz was a way to get back on.
It was actually a good speech. That being said I will not listen to Beck again, and this Oval Office backdrop was just ridiculous. Who knows perhaps he thinks he will be a regular visitor if Cruz, by the grace of God (only way he can win at this point), becomes President.
Add Levin and Rush to that list as well.

You’re right. In Becks case the fame went to his head and he began to think it was all about him, instead of the message. Thus he began to set out to prove it by coming out with contrarian opinions or downright crazy ideas to prove his listeners would follow him anywhere. It didn’t happen.
