The NBC/WSJ/Marist poll was conducted April 26-28 so mostly after Trumps six-consecutive primary victories in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, as well as after Cruz and Kasich announced an alliance/truce, whereby Kasich wouldnt campaign in Indiana to help Cruz (in exchange for Cruz not campaigning in Oregon and New Mexico).
But 58 percent of likely Republican primary voters in Indiana say they disapprove of Cruz and Kasich teaming up to beat Trump in the Hoosier State, while 34 percent say they approve of the move.
Whats more, only 22 percent consider the Cruz-Kasich alliance a major factor in deciding their vote, 15 percent say its a minor factor and 63 percent say it would play no factor at all.
In a hypothetical general-election matchup, Trump is ahead of Clinton by seven points among registered voters in this traditionally Republican state, 48 percent to 41 percent.

Just post man!
Rafael Edward Cruz, born in Calgary Alberta Canada, in 1970.
Father: Rafael Bienvenido Cruz, did not become a naturalized U.S. citizen himself until 2005.
Mother: Eleanor Elizabeth Darragh Wilson Cruz, became a naturalized Canadian citizen prior to the birth of her son Ted.
Which creates a definite problem for Senator Cruz:
The U.S. State Department explains in Section 349 of the INA (8 U.S.C. 1481), as amended) that U.S. nationals are subject to loss of nationality if they perform certain specified acts voluntarily and with the intention to relinquish U.S. nationality. Briefly stated, these acts include:
* obtaining naturalization in a foreign state upon ones own application after the age of 18 (Sec. 349 (a) (1) INA)
OR
* taking an oath, affirmation or other formal declaration of allegiance to a foreign state or its political subdivisions after the age of 18 (Sec. 349 (a) (2) INA).
According to Ted Cruzs father, he and his wife applied for and received Canadian citizenship before his birth in Alberta. Thus his mother committed the act of obtaining naturalization of a foreign state, which meets the definition of a an “expatriating act.”
AND (this is important), until 1977, Canada required those seeking Canadian citizenship to swear an oath renouncing their allegiance to their previous country. If Ted Cruzs mother obtained Canadian citizenship before 1977, then she swore this oath before a Canadian government official.
Based on these facts alone, Ted Cruz is not eligible to seek election to either the offices of President or Vice President. He must either withdraw from the current primary race, or the GOP must disavow his candidacy and expel him from the remaining primary contests upon this basis.
Your link takes us to a poll that says just the opposite. Cruz leads Trump.

Yep. He’s even more ineligible than Obama was.
Unless the GOPE engages in monster game-playing. Be alert for cheating.
There was an internal Trump poll released by way of a talk radio guy a few days ago where Trump was up 19 points. No way he can lose!
Ping!
If your facts are correct, certainly about his mother and her Canadian Citzenship, then I agree with you conclusion.
I ain’t popping champagne corks yet - this particular poll has been an outlier for some time, although in the past an outlier for Cruz.
The other factor is cross over votes from Hillery voters. Cruz got a ton of those in WI, so much so that she lost a state she was up by close to 10. The rats do not want to face Trump.
“Mother: Eleanor Elizabeth Darragh Wilson Cruz, became a naturalized Canadian citizen prior to the birth of her son Ted.”
Can you cite a source for that information?
If it’s true, Ted Cruz isn’t even an American citizen. Unless....he’s hiding his legal naturalization.
He should release all his citizenship papers he has sealed. Whats he hiding?
Still best to be cautious. Believing this poll entirely could produce a hard fall come Tuesday night although I hope its true.
It's almost as though he has a "ceiling."
I believe Trump wins IN.
I don’t believe he has pollsters. He hasn’t up to this point, by all reports.
Tough luck for Trump. Cruz and Kasich are only two points behind him - within the margin of error. Trump is so doomed!
If you find your way to the Hot Air site, the post that just went up by Allahpundit describing the NBC poll showing Trump up by 15, is primarily notable in that it is the first Trump post evah! by Allahpundit to be snark free. Even Mr. Snark himself has been cowed by The Donald. Will wonders never cease! Best.Election.Ever.
