Complete delusionary nonsense and measurably so. Anyone who thinks this is true should really examine instead how gullible and vulnerable to groupthink they are. Then they would potentially be learning something. About themselves.

TGT reports May 18th. So this drop in their stock price is supposed to be deteriorated earnings impacted from a week or so old boycott? Uh huh. With the most sophisticated point of sale software available integrated across their entire system of stores, TGT could *MAYBE* detect an impact from this boycott. Maybe. But they could not detect a trend because the impact is so new.

Microsoft fell from 56.5 to 50 this past week, over 10%. Did they invoke such bathroom policies? No. Should they? Who cares? AAPL fell about ten points, roughly 10%. Are they discriminatory towards LGBTEIQPS? Really? No, their sales were disappointing.

The market got hit Thursday and Friday for various currency related reasons primarily related to Japan and the BOJ.

*IS* shorting TGT stock a good bet? Well, I happen to be, but that is because on a chart, $84 is a high-high for TGT, and my suspicion is that the economy is not doing so great that retailers in general should be doing well. But I would have made that play (and I did) well before the boycott news came out. TGT was 15 points lower circa 68 when the market sucked in Jan-Feb. That wasn’t a long time ago, unless I misunderestimate.

This is not cause and effect. Now, everybody start yakking about how they will not buy anything from Target and feel good about it and how they used to buy this and that but now they will only buy this.

It’s delusional.

Actually I think your gross underestimation of how upset people are about this is delusional. It's not going away, but millions of people are, and they're not coming back.

Not so sure I’d go so far as to say it’s delusional (witness JC Penny’s), but good analysis.

I care. Corporations are not just about dollars and cents. All too many corporations have joined the homo-fascist campaign to stomp out Christian freedoms.

“It’s delusional.”

Just post to this thread every three months and prove to everyone that you are right. That’s what I would do if I was convinced as you are. Prove everyone wrong. See where this is in three months, and the three months after that, and so on. It’s the internet, it seems like it would be easy to do. Hey, I think you might be right. But I would love to be proved wrong.

Yeah whatever, it’s our time and money. After JCP started publishing fag catalogs, never been there. Doesn’t matter about boycotts if they work or not, it’s still a missed sale.
