He recently sang the speaker’s praises in the National Review calling Boehner a “terrific guy” with the “right temperament.” In 2011, he told Fox News the speaker was doing a “good job” in budget negotiations.”

I was watching cable news this morning and Sen Cruz said he doesn't know John Boehner, he'd be surprised if they've spoken 50 words.
Kind of difficult to square that statement with the past the two have.
