A 94-year-old former SS sergeant admitted in court Friday that he had served as an Auschwitz death camp guard, apologizing to Nazi Holocaust survivors looking on in a German courtroom that even though he was aware Jews were being gassed and their corpses burned, he did nothing to try to stop it.
Reinhold Hanning told the Detmould state court that he had never spoken about his service in Auschwitz from January 1942 to June 1944, even to his family, but wanted to use his trial as an opportunity to set the record straight.
"I want to say that it disturbs me deeply that I was part of such a criminal organization," he said as he sat in a wheelchair, talking with a weak voice into a microphone. "I am ashamed that I saw injustice and never did anything about it and I apologize for my actions. I am very, very sorry."

America is headed in the same direction as Germany before WWII. Except in this case, White People (not the Jews) are the cause of all the world’s problems.

FWIW, every member of the House of Representatives is guilty of egregious inaction and dereliction of duty with responsibility for many American military and civilian deaths due to their refusal to impeach the Fraud.

How strange. Germany going after Nazi guards 71 years after the war ended while they support and encourage Islamo-Nazism at the same time.

I’d feel a lot more enthusiastic about going after a low-level grunt who’d been brainwashed by the Nazis since he was 10 years old if there was an equal zeal to go after the commie leadership of the former Eastern Europe.
I’m a little conflicted about these trials. On one hand, “Thanks for your apology, now go stand up against that wall and put on this blindfold” is appropriate. On the other hand, he’s spent 74 years in silence and apparently ashamed of his actions, which were somewhat forced upon him by the Nazi regime, so a lesser punishment might be warranted. House arrest life sentence?
When do start trying all the Gulag guards and Stasi from the communist empire?
Cases of war efforts that developed into horrors when the bystanders came under coercion, shouldn’t be treated the same way as those who were in some wise free to go.
If we ask heroics of one under pain of death, oughtn’t we ask heroics of all?
And note they never asked who prayed to God. Shouldn’t that count in a physical coercion situation?
The Japan approach of America worked a lot better. By all means however drastic suppress the revolt, but then forgive. Would anybody even be thinking of Nazis today if they hadn’t kept getting forced into the news? Could this prolonged revenge quest be helping, not hurting, the Nazi meme?

I guess this is a staged even because Auschwitz and the Holocaust never existed according to liberals everywhere. He is just a paid acto; paid by some secret Jewish organization to fool the media. I got tons of sources and testimony that proved it and he said every one of those thousands of sources were fake and put out by Jewish propagandists even though they all came from different sources and had links.
