Cruz keeps striking me as a bright nerdy kid that never really developed social skills. He needs to do more than be an expert on conservative philosophy and a tactician. He needs to understand people who are not like him and not be condescending to them or mad at them because he has some old wound from high school where nerds get made fun of. He has taken the wrong path trying to make fun of others...it isn’t him and he’s not good at it. This election cycle has almost broken him. He needs to get out with grace and get classy again like he used to be.
That is probably the most astute and insightful analysis of Cruz that I have read on FR, as to whether Cruz can ever be ‘classy’ again however, remains to be seen.
