Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump is coming to Costa Mesa for a 7 p.m. rally Thursday at the OC Fair & Events Center, according to his campaign.
The first Orange County visit by Trump since entering the race comes as he gears up for California's June 7 primary, which could determine whether he reaches the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the GOP nomination in advance of the Republican National Convention in July.

OC is trending to be Trump country.
He’s got a jet. It’s easy to get back and forth.
I’m sure Trump will be back in Indiana. He’s got events there tonight and tomorrow at noon. Then he goes to California for tomorrow night!
It’s amazing how much ground Trump can cover in one day. I think he wants to send the message that he is going to campaign hard everywhere and not just live in Indiana for the next week.
Thursday’s event will be held at the fairground’s Pacific Amphitheater, which seats 8,200.
He’s doing a rally in Indianapolis this evening, and in Evansville tomorrow at noon. I’m sure he’ll be back in Indiana for the weekend.
He’ll take every district in IN, and win the state with 50+ percent on Tuesday.
Trump is supposed to be in SF in the morning for some type of Republican meeting. Guess he will fly into Long Beach, then motorcade to the fairgrounds. John Wayne Airport, only 5 minutes away, probably can’t handle a 757.
California voting by mail begins in a couple of weeks. There is no time to waste for Trump or for Cruz.

Can’t speak for the rest of CA but in Orange County you won’t get the ballot until ten days before June 7. Been doing this for years.

I’ve seen Obama take a cadre of copters to OC from LBC but they were probably all Air Force.
I used to work there and had the ignominious distinction of working a Clinton rally there in 1992. Dirty people wandering around with mass-produced signs, some selling campaign trinkets. Saw a small group of guys actually talking about how they thought Hillary was hot. It was almost as bad as the cantina scene in Star Wars.
I expect a much more civilized crowd for Trump’s event tomorrow.
John Wayne can indeed handle 757’s, but that size is the limit apparently.
