Nope, it takes place here all the time. What you're not considering is that it doesn't have to be rational. Abuse exists in its own world. Abusers abuse, and count on the emotional impact. That's why the fact that you posted such a stupid objection has nothing to do with the feelings you get when you're called out for being an idiot.

I’m guessing that a good portion of the Cruz vs. Trump venom on both sides is self generated, here and elsewhere.
I’m also sure that in an election where big bucks and big power are players, there are people who are paid to troll on forums and social media. Probably more than I’d like to think.
The language and tone of some posts on both side does seem to border on psyops, but then, that’s the nature of a political discussion, isn’t it?
It’s not over the edge to think that some of the trash posting is the result of paid operatives. With the way news and opinion moves today, it’d be amazing if that wasn’t being done.
