Bryan Adams, next it wasNick Jonas and Demi Lovato have canceled their upcoming tour dates in North Carolina in protest of North Carolina's controversial Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act (HB2) law. Widely perceived as being anti-LGBTQ, the stars join artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam and Boston as acts who have recently pulled the plug on North Carolina shows in response to the new law.
"After much thought and deliberation, we have decided to cancel our Honda Civic Tour: Future Now shows in Raleigh and Charlotte. One our our goals for the tour has always been to create an atmosphere where every single atendee feels equal, included, and accepted for who they are," they wrote in part in a statement posted on both of their Twitter accounts.
There are three more short paragraphs but for some reason the site will not allow me to copy and paste.

Good bye cruel world.
Read comments at source. Wow. Nobody is in the liberal bandwagon.
BTW, I posted this AS IS, the typo errors were left to show the spectacular education the writer has attained. At first I cud nevar spel hi scull grajuit, but now Eye r one.
Ani DiFrfancco? I didn’t know that Vogons are real. I thought she faded out of existence due to Bush no longer being President.
Demi LoIQ and Nick Jontaskjonttell? I can only apologize for the latter being from my hometown.
Dang. I liked her song with her brothers, “Heartbeat (It’s a Love Beat).”
Wow, it just keeps getting better for North Carolina!
Funny how the refusenik musicians are all a bunch of old fogies.
Who?
I seriously don’t have a clue who these Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato people are.
I’ve turned into a clueless old fart!
Gee it must be sooo nice to refuse to do business with a class of people based on one’s deeply held moral beliefs, just like Christian bakers..OH, WAIT! Would a class action against Nick Jonas, Springsteen, Joe Walsh, etc on the basis of REGIONAL discrimination be possible? After all it’s just as reprehensible as racial, ethnic, religious and gender discrimination.
So, women on their periods, with IBS, eating disorders, disabled, and elderly are not to feel safe at their concerts when they need to use the restroom? They can’t feel they will be safe from molesting or have privacy from the opposite sex, even at their most private moments. But on the off chance a transgendered woman goes to the concert, they will be welcomed.
Don’t these performers even have BRAINS? People with transgender issues are not closer to Gd than a menstruating teen girl or a disabled woman.
Like anyone really cares what that skank thinks.
Boston was just not the same after the suicide of Brad Delp. Can’t replace that voice.
That was DeFranco, not DiFranco, and you did not like that song.
This could work out real good. Maybe the whole state will turn commonsense in every way and we have a place to move to. The first one.
Springsteen, Pearl Jam and Boston were last relevant how long ago?
As for the others, as Tommy Lee Jones would say, “Just who the flock are you and just why should I give a shizznit?”
North Carolina just keeps racking up the wins.
Go Tarheels!
Awesome. A culture of bigotry that spews from Hollywood is not polluting North Carolina!!
Funny how people say a boycott against Target or someone else won't work but these twits sure go for it every time.
IMHo, this country has been going downhill ever since 1960 when John Courtney Murry was on the cover of Time magazine and writing inside that Catholics shouldn't boycott movies or anything else anymore. IOW, end the Legion of Decency.
The Protestant majority had already surrendered and when Catholics threw in the towel, that was it and we've been on a high speed Bobsled run to the baser instincts of mankind becoming the norm ever since. No matter what they say, Christians in America won't retaliate as a coherent block by not handing their money over to the hedonists and queers.
Give up your means to strike back in kind and pretend an alternative will work just as well ?
I think not. J C Penny's should be just the start of how things are going to be from now on.
Defame Christians, lose money. Promote Queers, lose money. Support abortion, lose money. Promote IzLame, lose money. Can't say Christmas, lose money. And etc.
No Tipper Gore political carnival about labeling stuff, just don't give money to people and companies that slap Christians in the face.
