In their vain effort to thwart the will of the electorate, that answer is now transparent. Candidate Trump is simply thumping them both in the polling for the Northeast States tomorrow:
3 candidate 3 states
According to the latest PPP Polling released today (full pdf below), candidate Donald Trump is not only beating the Wunderkinds individually; hes also beating them collectively.
Additionally interesting is some of the polling internal data which shows Senator Ted Cruz continuing to implode when the electorate is asked if they like him. Cruzs unfavorable rating continues to skyrocket.
(Via PPP) [ ] Donald Trump getting a majority of voters in each state. Hes strongest in Rhode Island where he gets 61% to 23% for John Kasich, and 13% for Ted Cruz. The numbers are very similar in Connecticut with Trump getting 59% to 25% for Kasich, and 13% for Cruz. Things are a little bit different in Pennsylvania where Trumps share of the vote isnt as high (51%) and Cruz edges out Kasich 25/22 for second place.
None of these states are particularly amenable to the Never Trump movement. Trump has the highest favorability rating of the GOP candidates in each state, and also handily wins head to head match ups with Cruz and Kasich in all three states. One thing that comes across in all these places is how unpopular Cruz is- hes way under water even with Republican primary voters (read more)

Heres a great site counting delegates, and predicting delegate targets for each candidate to make the nomination.
Of course, now, only one can actually do that before the convention, and that is Donald Trump.

National GOP poll: Trump 45%; Cruz 29%; Kasich 17%
Nationally, Cruz and Kasich are crushing Trump. Together, they have 46%, and Trump only has 45%. Trump is so doomed!
[To avoid being flamed, I suppose I have to mention that there may have been some sarcasm above. Yes, I really can do math, and yes, I do know that Trump would get more than 1% from Kasich if he dropped out or more than 1% from Cruz if he dropped out.]
Doomed, I say!
DOOMED!!!
The Wonderkinds. The last great hope of the GOPe’s.
Cruz will end back up in the Senate a much deminished and hated man.
Doubt he even serves out the rest of his senate term.
He brought it upon himself.
What will be the Wunderkindergarten when the smoke clears and Trump Triumphant becomes the next President?
Few people do sarcasm well. You aren’t one of them.
Ah, another rant from "Sundande." I wonder what he thinks? Probably the same thing he's thought in the last 100 rants he's made about the nomination.
Cruz was already persona non gratis within the walls of the US Senate, seen mostly riding on Jeff Sessions coat tails.
Things are deteriorating even further, at this point.
Heck, Cruz running for the nomination is likely enough to swing the whole Senate to Trump. LOL ?/
You made me laugh through out the post
Nicely played. Started out like Karl or Kelly Ann
Wonderkids? Try 2 Broke Girls (or Beta Men). I hear they are running out of money and trying to make it to the end.
Sundance is infinitely better than the PAC paid, bile spewing shill known as Markhole Levin.
Too bad the Announted One isn’t reading the tea leaves. If he was he would realize it is way passed time for him to return to his career government employment day job
He sure did. He’s a liar and a crook.
Cruz will end back up in the Senate a much diminished and hated man.
True.
How much does Graham despise the gentleman from Texas? Hes stopped short of accusing Cruz of being the Zodiac Killer, but hes made his disdain known several times, publicly.
On the Larry Kudlow Show in December, Graham suggested Cruzs Middle East policy would literally be cataclysmic: Ted Cruzs wanting to keep Assad in power is the dumbest idea possible. It means the war never ends, Graham said. What Cruz and others are doing is going to make sure that another 9/11 happens.
After dropping out of the race, Graham described the choice between Trump and Cruz as a deadly no-win situation: Its like being shot or poisoned, Graham said at a Capitol Hill press conference in January. What does it matter?
At the Washington Foundation Press Clubs congressional dinner in February, Graham went a step further by joking about Cruzs murder: If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you.
Sounds like you are a little butt hurt over the truth.
I haven't been listening to him either.
Butt-hurt is a funny word to describe tired of listening to rants. I wish people would stop posting them. "Sundance" used to be worth reading, but now he's gone round the bend with his fanaticism.
