Cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point learned about different faiths earlier this month by touring Jersey City's diverse cultural groups.
The cadets spent time with Coptic, Jewish and Muslim groups, among others, during a three-day tour of the city for their class, "Winning the Peace," which has annually brought cadets to Jersey City for over a decade.
During their April 15 visit to the Muslim Federation of New Jersey at 530 Montgomery St., cadets asked questions about Islam, ate traditional Pakistani dishes and attended a prayer session with the local Muslim community.

That’ll work. Walk around in pink high-heels?
“cadets asked questions about Islam”
was there a “did mohammed rape a 11-year old girl and made her his wife?” question?
Poisoning the minds of the cadets so they cant defend this nation against enemies
Unfreaking believable. If they would have made me pull this shit when I was at the Air Force Academy, I’d have had a cadet Article 15 and been marching tours for a month for insubordination.
I think they used to refer to it as “slumming”!
What does this have to do with “killing people and breaking things?” Seems like a waste of taxpayer dollars to me.
There is no f#####g reason for this liberal B.S. other than to destroy are military.............
Do they also take a tour of Dearbornistan to prepare for future tours of duty? Or maybe go on a live fire tour of Chicago?
Thank God I was a 13-week wonder, through Air Force OTS. We didn’t have time for such nonsense, and I was commissioned long before the PC era.
Only a month? Surely that would be good for at least 2-and-40.
Haha. True. But it’s been almost 25 years. I can’t remember the punishments. Maybe something like 20/20/1 or 40/40/2. I’d have been marching a lot of tours, that’s for sure.
Tanning your rifle.
“Ok cadets...when we order you to fire on Americans you need to able to tell the good ones from the bad ones....”
I guess if that happens it will be the “good ones” who fire back.
Walking tours with a hangover on Saturday mornings. In the winter. We got an extra ten minutes an hour to go inside and warm up when it was under ten degrees.
I saw more than one guy show up still drunk and running to the bathroom with their hands over their mouth.
But this was back when you could drink at 18. I am sure there is no drinking in Northfield any more.
Maybe West Point is obsolete? Do we really need an expensive full four year college to train Army officers? ROTC and OCS programs produce good officers at less cost. Personally, I think all officers should spend some time as an enlisted soldier before attending an OCS type program.
you mean scurvy city?
West Point is lost, and has been lost since that sodomite “wedding” at the chapel.
Knowing your enemy is important. Too bad they are on our soil.
I would respectfully disagree as I believe it’s the character of the officer, not any time in the ranks, that causes them to have empathy for Soldiers (the main takeaway I would see from making officer spend a few years enlisted). Also, I’ve known plenty of prior service officers despised by their troops which would make me disagree that Soldiers respect those who came from among them more.
