I love how Prince guarded his music. Too many artists would sell their Mother for a nickel and a music video, but Prince was having none of it. Prince also hated YouTube, Spotify, and digital downloads. Not only was he a legend, he was a throw-back as well.

Prince’s lawyers threatened to sue then the Purple One himself called Stan. They had a nice conversation and Stan made him laugh. Sure, the ad was OK...and the company soon introduced a Purple Grain variety. Prince knew that the
ad managed to give him some free publicity. He would benefit, too.
