I viewed these Trump remarks LIVE, in the last hour of Morning Joe this morning, when they split away to join the NBC affiliate Town Hall with Trump, on the Plaza.

When baited with the bathroom question, Trump’s response was so subtle and reasonable and low key, I never even blinked.

I got out of it that this bathroom issue had been no problem at all before, until it was, and that North Carolina legislature reacted and was catching criticism.

He said the best answer he had heard on the issue came from a commentator who said the bathrooms should just remain the same, go back to the way they were.

That is what TRUMP repeated, were the words of a commentator.

TRUMP himself was opposed to regulations on small businesses to now have to build a third bath room to accommodate transies.

He had no problem with Caitlyn Jenner using a womens bathroom at TRUMP Tower.

The whole thing was a non-issue except if it resulted in bathroom regs on business.

Cruz in his typical dramatic interpretation feigned shock that men could be in bathrooms with little girls in public schools, which is such a reach from what TRuMP was asked.

That is the way Mrs. Submareener and I saw it as well. Donald Trump answered a stupid question with a sensible response.

I just watched the entire video of the show here and I agree. Trump said nothing controversial or non-conservative. However, this board was full of threads from the anti-Trumpers about "Trump said this" and "Trump said that" and aren't we all suckers for getting behind him in the first place.

I see that as desperation. Cruz had his head handed to him in NY in embarrassing fashion, finishing a distant third behind Kasich, and barely had 15 per cent of the vote. It was a crushing defeat by all measures.

So being that Cruz is doing so poorly, the Cruz supporters are going to parse everything Trump says and attempt to create controversy out of it. It's really all they have left now.

And Cruz is about to get utterly crushed again in five more states come Tuesday. He may finish third behind Kasich in 3 or 4 of them. His much ballyhooed ground game is pretty much non-existent in the Northeast and Deep South. You can't win a national election that way.

That’s the way I saw it too.

The worst part of it was the entire thing was a setup.

A transgender woman whose question became part of NBC town hall has a history of trolling him

This was a Cruz op. The non-stop posting of the story spin was immediate here. When the truth comes out, people will hate Cruz and the Uniparty Establishment even more.

Same old, same old. It really was not a big deal except the liars in the so-called conservative media & Cruz making it something it wasn’t.

But Trump was right the NC law was “strong” i.e. created other problems and backlash. The law now requires fully trans-men to use the ladies room. The law didn’t solve anything and hurt the state overall.
