I viewed these Trump remarks LIVE, in the last hour of Morning Joe this morning, when they split away to join the NBC affiliate Town Hall with Trump, on the Plaza.
When baited with the bathroom question, Trump’s response was so subtle and reasonable and low key, I never even blinked.
I got out of it that this bathroom issue had been no problem at all before, until it was, and that North Carolina legislature reacted and was catching criticism.
He said the best answer he had heard on the issue came from a commentator who said the bathrooms should just remain the same, go back to the way they were.
That is what TRUMP repeated, were the words of a commentator.
TRUMP himself was opposed to regulations on small businesses to now have to build a third bath room to accommodate transies.
He had no problem with Caitlyn Jenner using a womens bathroom at TRUMP Tower.
The whole thing was a non-issue except if it resulted in bathroom regs on business.
Cruz in his typical dramatic interpretation feigned shock that men could be in bathrooms with little girls in public schools, which is such a reach from what TRuMP was asked.

This was a Cruz op. The non-stop posting of the story spin was immediate here. When the truth comes out, people will hate Cruz and the Uniparty Establishment even more.

Honestly I have begun to think they are the same. This is the Uniparty. The establishment loses when We the People turn against them. Donald Trump is the party purge that is coming.
Imagine what it would be like if we had a truly Constitutional Republican Party? First, they would not run an ineligible establishment candidate like Cruz. Why they chose Cruz in their long list of candidates is theoretical. I think they have gamed it out. In the end, the Uniparty can accept Hillary or Cruz. Cruz will never go after the illegal executive orders of Obama on the basis of his ineligibility. They can live with that. If Cruz is challenged and it is Hillary, then they will fall back on their selected convention candidate. If that fails, they can live with Hillary and the status quo.
My thinking has been that they want the Uniparty Establishment to remain...If Cruz wins on a ballot at the convention, then it just confirms that he was GOPe and not a Te Party Outsider like his worshipers think.
The pressure is building with the GOPe to not put in a fresh face, so it may be Kasich if ballots are cast.
I agree with you that they would be perfectly happy with Hillary. Above all else, the Status quo must be maintained, and that means defeating Trump in any way by anyone.
Same old, same old. It really was not a big deal except the liars in the so-called conservative media & Cruz making it something it wasn’t.
But Trump was right the NC law was “strong” i.e. created other problems and backlash. The law now requires fully trans-men to use the ladies room. The law didn’t solve anything and hurt the state overall.
