Well, in my year I spent in Brooklyn while working one day/week in Manhattan, I didn’t see any.
Then again, I was working in a hospital and living on instant noodles and spaghetti sauce, so I really didn’t have the chance to go to any places that were nice enough to have those.
As for the rest of my life, I’ve lived in the midwest. Not seen any here either.
I can understand the first part and why you never saw any, but they had and still have them in fine restaurants, hotels, and department stores in Chicago and perhaps in other Midwestern states as well. *shrugs*
Bookmarked. Fantastic thread. Very thoughtful thread by so many people.
Please let everyone know about the poster BKO. You knew her. Barbara Olson. Her life was ripped from her when her jet slammed into the Pentagon as she was speaking to her husband on 9/11.
I do remember the attendants in the Ladies’ Lounges. They were also tipped very well for their efforts to make sure we had everything we needed, and at the same time, felt safe! I do miss that so very much. I have not seen that again since around 1987. Been a while!
You made this thread one of my very favorites. I thank you, no pardons.
I live in Indy, and I have seen them. Of course we are rather cosmopolitan here. ROTFLMAO.
