So is NewsBusters now part of the #nevertrump crowd? If so we should all shun them for falling into lockstep behind him!

I actually don’t think Trump thinks much about social/cultural policies. This is all new to him. As a businessman, he’s been distressed at national/international policies, not social issues. He needs to stop listening to the women in his life. They will always bring you down!

Meanwhile "Social Conservative" George W. Bush gave us Ted Kennedy's Common Core propaganda in tens of thousands of public schools, while not cutting a SINGLE PENNY from Planned Parenthood.
I don't care about this crap anymore. As long as Trump builds an effective, Israel-style wall, I don't give a damn about social issues.

Just see how much of a social liberal he is after a long campaign after which he had to endure the smears and lies of other social liberals.

To the extent that Trump actually has any real political convictions, my guess is that he is a moderate liberal or what used to be called a centrist Democrat/Rockefeller Republican.

Don’t care.
If he doesn’t build the wall, put us on better economic footing, and choose at least somewhat better judges than Hillary or Bernie would do, the rest won’t matter.

Believe it or not, Trump has not spent his life navel gazing and reading books on going over every political issue in the world to form an opinion. He's not a policy wonk like frankly most of us are. I think people have a hard time understanding a person who is DIFFERENT... Who has spent the time WE have spent on FR and reading and discussing politics actually DOING things and forming political opinions in the realm he LIVED in and had to spend virtually every waking hour in: the real world. I'm betting he hasn't spent a lot of time thinking about gay rights. But I bet he knows a whole lot about govt regulation, bureaucracy and taxation, about worthless politicians, and about how business and jobs get screwed by Americans who hate our country giving it away via immigration and screw-America trade agreements.
That's who we need as president now. Because if we don't STOP this sh!t there ain't going to BE a country to argue in. We will be under the world government like TPP and the UN and EU and Ted's NORTH AMERICAN UNION where the ELITE will TELL us what to think and what bathroom to use, food to eat, etc. GLOBALISM must be stopped or we lose our sovereignty and cease to exist. Are these other issues important? Yes. But the NATION is at war, under attack by invaders who are being let in by traitorous Washington politicians, while sending our money and jobs to other countries and attempting to ELIMINATE our borders.
No borders=no country.
GLOBALISM is the hill we die on if we try to take every hill during a hot war with the forces of Globalism. Then there IS no USA.

Duh. No shyte, Sherlock. It’s abundantly clear that Trump is a blue state liberal posing as a conservative Republican. Just go back to his own announcement, when he said he was “running AS a conservative Republican”. Notice that he did not say, I AM a conservative Republican, but running AS one. Look it up.

When your house is on fire, you dont call a plumber to fix the garbage disposal; you call a fireman to put out the fire before it burns your house down.
Immigration, trade, & terrorism are the three fires burning our country down.
While I believe Cruz would make an excellent terrorism fireman, he is in no way an immigration or trade fireman. Those fires will burn as just as brightly as they are now if Cruz becomes president.
I sympathize (and agree) with those concerned about social issues, but these were long time developing problems, the solutions will take a long time to develop also. The next president (Cruz or otherwise) will have minimal (if any) impact in turning them back.
Our national house is on fire; immigration, trade, and terrorism are the fires burning it. Trump is far from the ideal candidate, but he is the ONLY fireman in the race.
If not Trump, who?
To: governsleastgovernsbest
I believe that Trump is pulling a Nixon. He ran to the right in the primaries and is moving to the Center for the general At heart he’s basically a Rockefeller republican
