Personally, I admire Trump for not checking with an adviser before answering hypothetical questions about non-issues that do not affect basically anyone in real life. I am sure it would offend less people if he just said, “Why don’t we limit the question to serious issues.” There is no good solution for someone like “Caitlyn” who dresses like a woman but still has a penis. He is a freak and no matter which bathroom he chooses to use someone is not going to like it.
We live near Seattle one of the most liberal cities not just in the country, but in the world. Percentage wise I would guess that we have as many or probably more “LGBT” people around as any place in the country. And neither my wife or I have ever noticed a “transgender” person using a public restroom while we were in one. They probably have, but they didn’t make a spectacle of themselves, so we didn’t notice. None of our friends have ever complained to us about a “transgender” person using the restroom and making them uncomfortable.
The restroom problems we do notice are people from certain ethnic groups not flushing the toilet after they use it and also peeing all over the floor and toilet and leaving poop smears on various items. It is disgusting. There have been also boys and girls of grade school age running around inside of bathrooms with their parents of the opposite sex accompanying them. This is appropriate, but can be a little annoying at times when the kid is obnoxious in some way.
If freaks start causing widespread problems in public restrooms then this might be something we should start worrying about. Harassing other people in a public restroom will still get you arrested right now with our current laws regardless of what your sexual preference or biological identity is. I don’t think that it is necessary to waste time coming up with legislative solutions for nonissues. Lets worry about the real problems first.
