With a resounding victory in New York under his belt, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is taking an early lead in another northeastern state: Connecticut, where a new poll has him beating his closest rival by 20 points.
A Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday shows Trump leading among likely Republican primary voters with 48 percent, compared to Ohio Gov. John Kasich at 28 percent and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at 19 percent. Just five percent of voters say they are still undecided ahead of the April 26 primary.
Trump is the clear favorite across nearly all demographic groups, except among Republican voters 18 to 44 years old, who favor Kasich at 39 percent. Trump has 32 percent of support among that age group, while Cruz comes in with 27 percent. The New York billionaire, however, leads among older voters.

I’m glad to hear that! I did the same thing here in PA and just made the deadline at the end of last month. I’m really looking forward to voting, for a change, next Tuesday in my first primary.
The Donald is now in that part of negotiations referred to as, “Closing the deal”.
Do you have to be citizens or was the "18th of April in'75 " a total waste of time too?

.
Anyone have the delegate count now?
And then again, he might not. Trump will have momentum out of last night’s and next Tues expected schlonging of Cruz.
The Canadian?
3rd place Ted shows up again. Kasich should remain that he drop out.
“The tribe has spoken. Republican voters are coalescing around Donald Trump. The momentum will just snowball going forward. Cruz is done.”
At this point, a vote for Cruz is a vote for ryan.
The Indiana internal polls must look awful for Cruz. He’s totally melting down with the media.
Yes or Mitt.
seems you can’t figure anything out like the rest of the Ted Cruz losers. do you really think all of the 19 million residents are all Republicans?
give it up....your boy lost. time to go home
This may have something to do with his meltdown:
Christie joins Trump and Pence at governor's residence
You see, Cruz had been hoping to lock down Pences endorsement, knowing that the governors network could lend him a significant organizational edge in the state just as Scott Walkers did in Wisconsin.
Then there was this:
Scott Walker says he'll support Donald Trump
If Pence didn't come on board, Cruzs team was planning to deploy its next best option: Walker himself, who is a known commodity in Indiana and would likely be used as a surrogate there.
Bad, bad day for Ted.
I did not know that Christie went with Trump to Governor Pence’s office. Hmmmmm
Thats when I couldnt stop laughing. Trump got 526,000 votes from a total of 20 million people in the state and he lost his home town.
He only lost one CD the old Silk Stocking District, one of the most liberal districts in New York.
If you add his huge win in Staten Island and other parts of the City, including his home borough of Queens County and Brooklyn, Trump had massive numbers in NYC.
Compare Trump got about 34 percent in Texas to Cruz 47 percent. Cruz got less than 15 percent in New York.
In John Kasich state Trump was within just a few votes of the Governor. Trump shows strength in voting states, Cruz in most Caucus and voterless states he can steal.
I think his OK and Maine victories are very suspect.
They should give Trump his Iowa delegate since he lied about Doc Carson and cost Trump the election.
Good news
It’s Connecticut
Hence a nice big memorial thumbs up to HARPSEAL
may he and his dear wife be enjoying eternity nicely
He was one of the best ever here
Made me think of sneakypete too actually who’s still alive I think
His campaign person said- they don’t care about winning the elections, they will win with the delegate game.
My point exactly. And if you truly believe Trump is a Republican then I don’t believe you were ever a Republican either. Or a Conservative.
They should give Trump his Iowa delegate since he lied about Doc Carson and cost Trump the election.
CNN lied about Ben Carson first. That made up story was debunked. By the way do we know any of the women’s names Ted was supposed to have had an affair with yet? Gee. Don’t think so. The names your guys put out all screamed foul!
Go ahead, vote Trump and you will get Hillary elected. You will be another Romney spoiler just like the last time.
Very thoughtful of you.
God bless.
