***Same way all the other dollar coins worked out. ***

My dad used to get paid in REAL SILVER DOLLARS back in 1955 Utah.

Now this nickle clad copper are not worth the weight to carry around.

Never had a $20 turned down over in Cherokee Land Oklahoma.

Today’s $100 will not buy you any more than a $20 bill would forty five years ago.

Fifty years ago is when Johnson took the silver out of REAL MONEY!

I was kinda hoping for Che.

He'll replace Washington on the one-dollar bill.

Andrew Jackson, served at 13 as a courier in the Revolutionary war and was captured and held as a POW by the British and starved to near death, and slashed with a sword on the face and hands for his defiance (he bore those scars for the rest of his life). He was a major general in the War of 1812, commanded U.S. forces in a five-month campaign against that decimated the Cree, then allies of the British and a thorn in our side that other men had failed to control. After Horseshoe Bend, Jackson led his troops to a decisive victory over the British in the Battle of New Orleans. In 1817, on his own authority as commander, Jackson personally ordered an invasion of Florida. After he captured two Spanish forts, he claimed the surrounding land for the United States. So you can thank Andy Jackson for Florida. As president he fought encroaching federal powers, including the Central Bank, supported states rights, and helped pay for the war by taking the rightful spoils of war in terms of Indian lands. Now what in the He!! did Harriet Tubman do for American interests, in comparison?

Is there some unwritten rule that the asthenically challenged must be on the $20 bill?

What do they plan to do with the stacks of bills that people will refuse to accept?

My thoughts exactly. Banks are gonna have plenty of $20's on hand as people refuse them in favor of $10's and $50's.

The blackification of our culture and history sickens me.

Agreed, some on here may not like it, but she helped free people from slavery, and she was pro 2nd amendment from what I read about her a long time ago, I think we can accept it, there is nothing wrong about her.

At least she was a real civil rights activist putting her life on the line for what she believed in. Unlike the so called civil rights activists of today that are in it for themselves.

An idea every bit as stupid as having every Major League Baseball player wear “42” on Jackie Robinson Day.

I have the feeling both Jackie and Harriet would agree.

Dollar Bills are a waste of money. Their life span is measured in mere months! Then they’re shredded and sent to landfills. They are germ, bacteria, and disease carriers! The coins last for many, many years. They are recyclable. They are naturally anti-bacterial. In all practicality, coins are preferable to single dollar bills. We’d save quite a bit of money if we’d switch to coins. You only need to carry one or two. Get the two dollar bill back into common circulation! We need to stop wasting money! We need to save in every way we can!

Why can’t they have both?

Tubman is not a negative figure in American history so far as I remember.

I guess it could have been worse. I was glad to hear that the communist Helen Keller was not selected but I kinda figured whoever it would be it would be a political selection. If the fascist in charge had their way we would have Hillary on the $100 bill.
