Trump staffers face threat of blacklist

Some political operatives shy away from the billionaire for fear of being shunned by other Republicans.

When Matt Braynard signed on to run Donald Trump’s data team last fall, he got an email from a veteran GOP operative to whom he was close warning, “You realize once you go Trumptard, your career in GOP politics is over?”

Braynard took the job anyway, explaining that he believed in Trump, and that he wasn’t worried about being blacklisted. “This isn't a career, it's a vocation, and only God can take that away,” he said he responded.

But according to interviews with more than a dozen operatives — including several who oppose Trump, some who support him and the leaders of some prominent D.C. political shops — some of those who go to work for Trump face an implicit, and occasionally overt, threat: Help Trump, and you’ll never work in this town again.

The humor is in watching Trump supporters, who are “reportedly” winning BIG TIME, moan and cry about how unfairly Trump is being treated. It is so counter-intuitive its funny.

I am pretty sure people are upset their votes are being countermanded. If you twist the truth like that no wonder you find Cruz appealing.

YOU, sir, are the one who claimed that supporting anyone OTHER than Trump was anti-American.

We’re not talking about pundits. We’re talking about what Trump supporters are saying to Cruz supporters.

It has been the vitriol of Trump supporters, here and elsewhere, that have formed my opinion and my plan of action, come Election Day.

Anyone else would have the sense to stop digging, when they’re already in a hole. Hell, several weeks ago, I was willing to vote for whoever got the nomination, be it Donald or Ted.

Minor little fact for you: 4 years ago, Romney didn’t even piss off a significant part of the base, he merely failed to inspire them to vote for him. And you actually think you can win without a significant portion of the conservatives ?

Ted Cruz is not a constitutional-conservative. Were Cruz really a constitutional-conservativehe would not be running for president. There is no way in he[[ that the son of a Cuban born in Canada is a natural born citizen of the United States under original intent.

There is no way a constitutional-conservative would have voted for the Corker amendment.

There is no way a constitutional-conservative would have voted to reauthorize the Patriot Act.

There is no way a constitutional-conservative would have voted for the TPP enabling TPA.

Ted Cruz is also a liar, conservatives used to not like lairs.

I hope you'll are happy standing with Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Lindsey Gram, Paul Ryan, Carly Fiorina, Nicky Haley, Golden Sachs, The Club for Growth and the entire globalist GOPe establishment. Oh Obama and Mexico our on your side now too, congrads.

As wacky as this may sound, here in the liberal mecca of Chapel Hill, there are Bernie supporters who openly say that they feel Trump will do more for the working class than Hillary and they will never vote for her.

I interpret this to mean that they will stay home rather than vote for Trump, but it may just be enough to tip over a few purple states like Virginia.

Also, there are VERY FEW Hillary! bumper stickers anywhere in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. Lots of Bernie stickers on Priuses (or Prii?). Almost no Trump stickers anywhere. I did see a Kasich sticker on a minivan, however.

Trump and Sanders are both against free trade. I know Freepers freak out over liberal Hillary but Clinton is a uni-party who is no different than any establishment Republican. Clinton supported every neocon war W Bush did and every free trade agreement presented. Outside of some social issues Clinton is a Republican establishment type.
