Hundreds of wind turbines in the Netherlands are operating at a loss and could soon be demolished, according to an article published Thursday by the Dutch financial newspaper Financieele Dagblad.
Subsidies for generating wind energy arent cost effective anymore, according to the papers analysis. Most of Europes modern wind turbines are struggling to be profitable due to the inefficient subsidy structure.
Financieele Dagblad is extremely worried about the failure of the Dutch wind industry, because the Netherlands is already behind its green energy targets.
Dutch financial issues with wind power arent unique to the Netherlands. Globally, the wind power industry is slowing down and will continue to slow, according to a 2015 report by the International Energy Agency. The wind industry is growing the slowest rate in years due to changes in the structure of subsidies, issues with reliability, and consistently high prices.

OK, as long as they don’t stop making those little almond windmill cookies! Or... did they? I haven’t seem them in ages!
From 2009:
Wind Power is a Complete Disaster

Denmark, the world’s most wind-intensive nation, with more than 6,000 turbines generating 19% of its electricity, has yet to close a single fossil-fuel plant. It requires 50% more coal-generated electricity to cover wind power’s unpredictability, and pollution and carbon dioxide emissions have risen (by 36% in 2006 alone).
Windmill cookies will never die!
I have no idea what happened, but not too long ago one caught fire in Texas and the smoke was incredible. It looked like an oil well fire! That can’t be good for the environment!
The Dutch aren’t going to have to worry about wind energy much longer because the Muslims won’t care and they’ll be the new owners of the place.
If windmills were as useful as some preach, Holland would be a world power by now.
Those are, however, pitifully ugly: a blight on the landscape, and don’t generate much power.
Surprise...surprise!!!
Lol. Ironic. And why Obama wants to kill off the competition.
