LANSING, Mich. (AP) Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder will drink Flint water at home and at work for at least a month to show to residents it is safe with the use of a faucet filter, he said Monday.
The Republican governor, who has apologized for his administration's role in the city's lead-tainted water crisis, visited a house that had been confirmed to have high levels of lead and left with five gallons of filtered water. He said he understands people feel that if officials say the water is OK, then he should drink it, too.
"What better way to help show support," said Snyder, who will get refills from other homes as needed.

Hope the Lieutenant Governor is in good health.
toss in a few golden archies burgers
and
watch how much faster he finishes his term of office
Good, when he is still alive with normal lead levels, it will prove this isn’t as big of an issue as is being reported.
It’s bad but mainly on the shoulders of local Flint officials.
Someone threatened him with a belly full of lead, so he’s just jumping the gun.
If he does what he says he’ll do, it will blunt any attacks the left will try to mount against him and make the Dem opposition and the EPA and other detractors look stupid!
I don’t understand how the Gov is responsible for pipes that probably were put in the ground before he was born, by DEMOCRATS.
Make his little grandkids drink it
"I like mine with a twist"
I understand he will also use it in an enema each day to appease the left.
I’ve yet to see a media report on this that contains any numbers related to the quantity of lead per unit of volume or mass in this water...
Ah, found one, 153 to 4000 parts per billion (more awe inspiring when you use that than 0.153 to 4 parts per million, but the latter is still high for drinking issues) in 26 out of 4000 samples (0.65% of total samples tested of UNFILTERED water).
The EPAs 1991 rule on lead and copper in drinking water states:
“The treatment technique for the rule requires systems to monitor drinking water at customer taps. If lead concentrations exceed an action level of 15 ppb or copper concentrations exceed an action level of 1.3 ppm in more than 10% of customer taps sampled, the system must undertake a number of additional actions to control corrosion.”
So they were more than an order of magnitude below the regulatory threshold for mandatory corrosion remediation or pipe work.
The main issue here is that after the switch to Flint River water, it looked and tasted like s***. The “L” word just gets politicians and bureaucrats off their asses to do something...
I’d like to recommend a good mixer for the Governor’s drink: Canadian Club and plenty of it.
“Make his little grandkids drink it”
Assh*le!
