Strawberries are usually good here in June. Haven’t done it in a long time, but went strawberry picking at a farm not too far away. We ate a lot as we picked, too.

My mom used to make the best strawberry freezer jam. It was great on toast and I used to put it on ice cream sometimes.

I have been freezing berries whole. Add to a cup of milk in bullet with a packet of Splenda. Makes a wonderful fresh straw why shake

mmmm, had a friend in CA that made strawberry freezer jam - tasted just like fresh strawberries.

Then we both moved....I can never get my ham to set right. so I’ll have to find a new friend here who can ;)

It is strawberry season as we speak in CA. probably till mid may berries are always YUGE beginning of season, I dip them in chocolate as gifts for my catering customers!!!! Fresh srrawberry stands are popping up EVERYWHERE!!!
