Its not often that a Republican presidential primary in New York matters.
This year it does. Its a time for choosing, to paraphrase Ronald Reagan. The choice is between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, though John Kasich is on the ballot too. The real race to the nomination has been Trump v. Cruz for at least several weeks and it is likely to remain that way.
Faced with that choice, its easy.
Legal Insurrection started in October 2008 in anticipation of the Obama presidency. We were part of the Tea Party movement (though aligned with no specific group) since the beginning. We worked hard through Operation Counterweight and campaign coverage to find and elect candidates who would push the window towards conservatism. Sometimes we were disappointed once they took office, but the window opened wider.

Folks, go out and google Trump and Clintons. Just do it.
Trump has been hob nobbin with the Clintons for decades. Yukin it up on the golf coarse with Billy boy. Yukin it up with Hillary and Billy boy at galas, dinner parties, political events.
Take a gander at the images. Combine these with the thousands of dollars of donations to democrat political figures. Just can't help but be seriously concerned. Is Trump what he portrays to be?
Conservatism in NY is quite different than conservatism down in the South, particularly Texas.
Yep. I do support Cruz. And the race for POTUS has nothing to do with my posting. I am merely disseminating information. Of course you’re free to get me banned and I’ll be fine either way.
The only way NYS will get better is make it two states
I left in 1981
Upstate looks like Detroit
It also reflects one of the supreme ironies of all time and illustrates for all to see the utter gullibility of Trump supporters. For now the man that has spent his career buying political power and favors will not have spend a cent because he will have it all at his disposal if he becomes president, and for free.
On the occasions that the man-become-president who has so cynically bought favors and power needs more favors or more power than inherent in the office, he can buy more of both of them, but this time with our money.
Such will be more than one of the great marketing feats of all time, it will be one of the great flimflam's of all time.
Yep. One of the bot posse.
Yeah conservatism is so different down in the south Trump crushed Cruz throughout the south!!! Cruz didn’t even win his HOME state with 50%!!!!

LOL, The Bushes and the Clitons have hung out together for years. So much for Texans not liking the Clintons. BTW, who are the Clinton friendly Bushes funding? Lyin’ Ted Cruz.
LOL...I can’t get you...or anybody banned. You (and the mods and JimRob) control your destiny, here.
Exactly. I’ll be just as happy to be banned as not. This is to debunk the entire conspiracy laden idea that I showed up here to post for Cruz. That’s utterly ridiculous. I have more things important in my life than to have cult-like behavior for any candidate for POTUS.
They pop up, out of nowhere, every two - four years ;-)
Dear CA. voters, I live in CA. and I am also voting for Trump if you live in CA. too you also know the reasons why!!! BUILD THE DAMN WALL!!!!!
Let’s talk about his appeal then. We are interested in his background, or `ethos’ because that’s one of the means of persuasion.
Jacobson:
“We had enemies. The Democrats smeared us, and so did the Republican establishment. Im angrier at people in the Republican Party who attacked the Tea Party than I am at the Democrats.”
)))
)))
“I remember who stood with us and who didnt. Ted Cruz ran for Senate on a Tea Party platform and stood with us.”
Marco Rubio “stood with us” once upon a time. Mitch McConnell is now heading up one of Cruz’s PACs and the people who Jacobson is (was) so angry at are now backing Cruz.
How do you square that circle?
Four paragraphs and the author has yet to give his answer. I hate people that think they need to explain the answer before actually giving it. It’s like reader hostage. Sorry, post something of substance.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee
I use to like Cruz now I will never vote for him ever
Ted Cruz did not stand with you. He sold out on trade and other critical issues. Ted doesn’t want to build a wall. He doesn’t want to pause immigration. He doesn’t want to do anything to overturn Ocare..
He does want to laugh at you behind your back.
Trump was not an elected official. He was a businessman warning against the trade deals Ted was pushing.
Ted is behaving like a petulant child seeking to cause miscjief
At least NY is having a vote. Not some rigged GOP outcome like
Colorado and WY.
The people of NY will get the opportunity to vote directly for a candidate.
And that is fair enough.
Good for you then.
And you know this how?
Okay then.
