Report: Saudis vow to sell US assets if Congress decides gov was involved in 9/11
Fox News ^ | 16 Apr 2016

Saudi Arabia has reportedly told the Obama administration and congressional leaders that it will sell billions of dollars in U.S. financial assets if Congress passes a bill to make the Saudi government legally responsible for any role in the 9/11 attacks.

The administration has tried to stop Congress from passing the legislation, a bipartisan Senate bill, since Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir last month told Washington lawmakers his country’s position, according to The New York Times.

Al-Juberi purportedly informed the lawmakers during a trip to Washington that Saudi Arabia would be forced to sell as much as $750 billion in Treasury securities and other American financial assets on the world market, fearing the legislation could become law and U.S. courts would then freeze the assets.

The revelations about the Saudis’ ultimatum come several days after reports that President Obama will soon decide whether to declassify 28 pages of sealed documents suspected of showing a Saudi connection to the deadly 9/11 terror attacks.

Former Florida Democratic Sen. Bob Graham told Fox News on Tuesday that the White House told him a decision on whether to declassify the documents would be made within 60 days.

Graham helped lead a 2002 congressional inquiry into the attacks.

The Bush and Obama administrations have refused to unseal the documents, arguing their release would jeopardize national security. Critics claim the reluctance is a calculated move to hide Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the al Qaeda terror attack that killed almost 3,000 people on U.S. soil on Sept. 11, 2001.

Obama had come under renewed pressure to release the documents ahead of a scheduled trip next week to Saudi Arabia for a summit of Persian Gulf leaders.

You can’t have a totalitarian “World Government” without first destroying the world’s most powerful national government. That task is nearing completion.

The US hasn't had a national government representing American interests since the late 80's. What we've had instead are bureaucratic functionaries and BS artists greasing the wheels of transnational agencies and financial institutions. Saudi Royals are part of that network, so Obama bows to them while Bushes kiss them and hold their hands. And if Saudi money bags happen to give some of their oil money to radical clerics, well, that's a small price to pay for political and financial globalization.

>>Saudi Aramco is to issue an IPO and the stock sales used to establish a fund supporting a move toward an industrial and manufacturing based economy.

Since Saudis don’t actually do any work, this means that they will import slave labor, work them nearly to death, radicalize them, and send them off to blow up someone else.

And our globalist corporate leaders will cheer for having a new labor market opened for them.

True to some extent. We will know for certain it is “Mission Accomplished” if the GOPe install someone other than Trump or Cruz as the Republican candidate this summer.

Giant mobs are not looting on a daily basis. We are not yet at a barter economy. There is still food on the market shelves; still gas at the gas station.

Paul Manafort must have his hands full trying to keep Trump from commenting on this revelation.

Yikes!

Somebody queue up Powers Boothe from Tombstone saying, “Bye”.

Folks, shale is so wide spread that it may be driving Saudi and the OPECers from significance if we have sense enough not to kill it off by regulations again.

Everywhere there is / was conventional oil / gas there is oil or gas shale nearby. Not all of it is economic but there is a lot of it. Check out the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale. Downright huge.

60 ish dollars per barrel of oil is a possibility for many years into the future because of shale oil and gas and horizontal wells and fracture stimulation of the rock with sand and water.

Probably another thing that Mrs. Clinton is covering up.

Sad to say, but republicans are at least as guilty as democrats in covering up for the Saudis.

Maybe even more so.

The incriminating part of the 9/11 report was classified under the Bush admnistration.

"Dubya" could have de-classified and released the information at any time he was in office.

And it was G. W. Bush who allowed influential Saudis in the USA to fly around collecting family members and then fly out of the USA after 9/11 at a time when every other non-governmental aircraft in the nation was grounded.

And one of the large extended families allowed to depart at that time was none other than the Osama bin Laden framily.

If Trump was President he would just take the buildings and sell them to the highest bidder in a way that wouldn’t crash r/e values. Or keep them in the governments possession and rent them out. He would know what to do.

Everyone else would just bend over and let the Saudi’s do whatever they want.

I appreciate the gesture. Thank you.

I want VENGEANCE!

Funny thing is, this bozo president may have inadvertently dragged them into a brutal war in the near future.

The people deserve the truth. For too long our govt has lied to us and hidden their policies. How can a so called ally bomb us and establish mosques that teach hatred? They are not our friends and they are working to destroy us.

Saudi may be fading from significance. Shale is a game changer all around the world. See my post 31,
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3421574/posts?page=31#31

Diversify into industrial and manufacturing? With what for labor? Slaves? Saudis don’t work.

Furthermore, without need for their oil we will no longer need to be the cop in the region.

I’m feeling a Megatrend at hand, what they call a Black Swan now.

The Saudi Royals aren’t Islamist fanatics. They just give money to pro-jihadi clerics to stay in power. Think of it as outsourcing their terrorists.
