Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz got the cold shoulder from a room of 800 Republicans at the New York City GOP gala Thursday night, receiving little interaction from the audience as he went through his usual stump speech.
Cruz, who followed speeches from rivals Donald Trump and John Kasich, began by making a joke at Trumps expense that fell flat. I havent built any buildings in New York City, but I have spent my entire life fighting to defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, the Texas senator said, taking a shot at the GOP front-runner who, just moments before, spent the majority of his speech talking about his New York real estate successes.
Media at the scene reported guests walking around and talking during Cruzs address.

People are over Cruz and his shenanigans ...his tanking poll numbers will attest to that
So they were rude? How uncharacteristic.
Behind enemy lines... Cruz mans up and goes for it.
In similar situations, The Donald has gone MIA.
That’s why President Cruz will be the better choice.
Cruz is a very destructive force in the GOP right now.
He needs to stand down, and accept some sort of accommodation with Trump.
He will not be the president. He just won’t be. He doesn’t win primaries, and he won’t win the election. He just won’t.
I am watching the CNN Democrat debate right now. Both candidates are very fired up, the crowd is very engaged, and we very much need a STRONG CANDIDATE to compete.
The candidate will need to win votes. Trump is the person who can win the election, and Cruz needs to STAND DOWN.
The Cruz backers here, are complete tools.

For your musical enjoyment!
Ashley Cruz should just bring his hookers dressed
up as judges and rats.
Actually, he should withdraw. Yesterday.
But, wait - isn’t he the GOPe guy and DT is the “outsider”? Hmmm, something not adding up here.
Eh, I watched a bunch of it, and he got plenty of applause, multiple times. I didn’t expect him to be a fan favorite there.
Cruz has run his course. The GOPe tried to embrace him, as did half the Trump supporters here to begin with. Only his hardened supporters many of whom may actually be some sort of saints can stand to be around him for all that long.
>> [Cruz] needs to stand down... He will not be the president. He just wont be... he wont win the election. He just wont... Cruz needs to STAND DOWN.
Impeccable logic. In the face of such a well-reasoned, airtight argument to the contrary, how could ANYONE be a “Cruz tool”? Like me, for instance? Unthinkable.
So they were rude? How uncharacteristic.

Hey! 2DV, New York values are New York values! Ted already told everyone in New York that he doesn’t like them. What was that headline? “Ford/Bush to New York: Drop Dead!” I guess you can add Cruz to the list. ;-)
Glad you see the error of your ways.
>> But, wait - isnt he the GOPe guy and DT is the outsider?
You’re on a pro-Trump thread here. I hope you took an Advil before you engage in a head-pounding activity like thinking or using logic. :-)
Yep, Donald MIA in Colorado last weekend. Donald’s surrogate Palin going MIA in Wyoming this weekend. But Ted mans up and goes for it.
New York values.
>> Ted already told everyone in New York that he doesnt like them.
Nah, he loves them New Yawkers, he just doesn’t like their values.
Yeah, I saw that.
Hey, I can always try.
And, if that doesn’t work, just ignore ‘em.
Hey Teddy, your gloating, smug disregard for the voters of Colorado and now your “false” delegates scam, has turned off voters Big Time.
