Susana Martinez for Vice President
New York Republican Gala ^ | 4/14/2016 | self

This is a video of the speech prior to Trump by Governor Susana Martinez of New Mexico. I have never seen her-- I have never promoted her but I see something that you will see. I see the Vice President of our country.

I posted last week that she'd be the ideal VP choice for Trump. Good political experience, younger, female.

Cruz would do well with Fiorina. Older, business experience, female.

You can bet Hillary is going to go with a younger, male, charismatic type. Cory Booker is my guess.

I don’t think so. Sarah has a horrible high pitched voice.— right? It drove me MAD!! But this great gal has a wonderful melodic tone . I love Sarah. We need a woman hitter in this country. They are stepping up where wimps like kasich/cruz grovel to the liberals ( TPP). I want an AMERICAN “HITTER” ( not Hitler). I don’t care if he or she is white, black or purple!! I want someone to save my country and the future of my grand children. That’s all.

Martinez has already denounced Trump and won't even commit to supporting him if he becomes the nominee.

Stop with the hispandering already.

If Trump ever picks a VP, it won’t be Martinez. Martinez has a lot of potential. They shouldn’t Palinize her.

Bruce, I agree with you. Martinez is a nice balance, background-wise, gender-wise, ethnic-wise and region-wise for Trump. Fiorina is a nice balance, on these same criteria for Cruz. Both tickets look as much as a cross-section of America as you can get in two people.

To Martinez’ credit, one house of the New Mexico state legislature flipped from Democrat to Republican during her tenure. This is a lot more than Romney in Mass. or Christie in New Jersey.

As long as we unite after the nomination, we will do well in November.

I don’t think so. Have you got a link on that? Maybe I’m wrong. I am wrong many times. She is great enough to stand on her own but I think she is a fighter with TRUMP! I think she will be the first woman president in 2024!!

Names aren’t what make a person American, any more that skin color does.

Are you serious? Clinton, Kennedy.....where did those “American” names get us? Give me a Ramirez, Martinez or Rodriguez...as long as they love this country and want to build a wall. Believe me, there a lot of us with those surnames that will vote for Trump to “Make America Great Again”.

Oh please. She’s a female Marco Rubio. And you’re a newbie. Bad combination.

Having a ticket of two perfect candidates doesn't do much good if they can't get elected. A female Marco Rubio would strengthen Trump enormously for the general election.

Trump isn't the guy I prefer, but if he wins the nomination, I want him to win the general. Martinez would help that enormously.

Amen. We are a major country unique in the world in that the only real commonality that ever defined us was founding principles. We weren't defined by race, language, or tribe. People shouldn't confuse the fact that some people who are not of European descent betray that by dwelling too much on their ethnicity, whether it be black power or whatever. The truth is that there are plenty of fantastic Americans of all ethnic backgrounds and races.

I had Marines who were black, white, Hispanic, Asian, whatever, and they were all my brothers. If they were scumbags, it was because of who they were as people, not because of their last name or race.

Palin got Palinized because she was out of her league. Martinez is much more accomplished and professional.

She is pro Amnesty, Trump would lose a lot to take her and for what.

I don’t know if Blackburn is for Amnesty, but she is more conservative. We don’t really need a woman to balance this ticket we need someone who has lots of political expertise.

I would personally like Newt. He would at least win the debate, unlike Ryan who lost to Crazy Joe.

Lets not worry about grooming someone to follow Trump.
Lets find someone who can help Trump “make America great again” Newt was there the last time we had a balanced the budget.

Newt qualifies as best and brightest, Martinez is OK where she is and maybe the Senate, if she stops being a Rino.
