Funny thing. Both my girlfriend and I have met Charles Manson. She because she was the nurse in the Sacramento County Jail where he was brought in during a between prison transfer, and she was part of the processing. Me because as an honors student in College, I was touring the prison where he was being held, and got to sit in on, and observe, a group therapy session in which Manson was participating.
Both of us agreed that, in our encounters, Manson came across as a psychopath who was extremely smart, extremely scary, and manipulative. We both agreed that when he looked at you, his eyes seemed to look very deep into you, and you felt strange having him look at you. His look was an emotionless stare. . . I thought he just did not blink. The guard said that "Charlie had practiced not blinking because it unnerved people." He could out wait anyone before he had to blink.
I remember his blank stare, it was scary and there’s little doubt he was a psychopath and I’m sure still is.
Back then there were a lot of young people that were looking for something other than the normal, Charlie offered that and sadly these people followed.
