What does "King of the Jews" mean to you ?
Muslims aren’t Israelites, either. They trace their lineage to Ishmael, Abraham’s illegitimate son, rather than to Isaac, the father of Jacob/Israel.
Jesus was “King of the Jews.” He was of the tribe of Judah. (Technically, all the kings of the southern kingdom of Judah were “kings of the Jews” in their time, but I don’t think that’s what you meant.)
In the time of Jesus, Herod was a secular king of Judah, a Roman puppet. The taunt, “Are you the king of the Jews?” was both a sneer and an accusation of insurrection and treason.
