Now, we've got the situation that 85% of the votes and the delegates are split among the GOPe's two LEAST favorite candidates. Whatever you think about Trump OR Cruz, you've got to admit that both have played their hand with extreme skill to get to this point. Plus, they may have even had a little help from the Man Upstairs.
I liken a contested convention to walking into a trap set by the jigsaw killer. Is the killer Cruz or the GOPe? That remains to be seen.
Yes, I never expected Cruz or Trump to get anywhere. This was when I supported Cruz.
Trump led the way, by saying ‘controversial’ things that drew the attacks from the liberals, MSM, and his own party. He took all the arrows. Only when Cruz saw that the people liked what Trump said did he follow in Trump’s footsteps. Without Trump, illegal immigration would not have even been a discussion.
If they would combine forces, the GOPe wouldn’t be able to put in their own candidate. All this might be for nothing.
I don’t think Trump and Cruz are teaming up in any way, shape, or form. If Trump wins, Cruz will politely shake his hand, but that’s about it. If Cruz wins, you probably won’t even get that out of Trump. I don’t see how Trump would make Cruz his VP, especially after he’s declared he’s basically ineligible to be President. Plus, Trump’s declared Cruz is a liar, so is he really going to make a ‘liar’ part of his team?
