Cruz's resounding win in Colorado's GOP contest this weekend provided fresh evidence that Trump's campaign is still scrambling to catch up in the delegate hunt.
But the Trump campaign's threat that they might challenge the Colorado results at the Republican National Convention showed something else: Their campaign is gearing up for battle in Cleveland -- and no error will go unnoticed.
The debate over the national delegate selection in Colorado this weekend qualified as the very definition of inside baseball.............

I think this CO thing was a calculated move by the Trump camp. I even think he even knew the rules well, but thought it was waste of time setting up a “ground game.” He probably wouldn’t have won this state. Therefore, he it was a great opportunity to make the Cruz/GOPe look even more dishonest than they have been playing all along.
I agree.
For those of us concerned about the survival of American, we need to understand an America 1st candidate has to overcome liberal welchers
It’s imperative that we capture all the crossover democrat and independent votes possible.
Cruz is incapable of doing that.
Trump can do it.
The proof is in the primary voting results.
You do understand that registered republicans went to precinct caucuses, elected delegates who went to county caucuses, who elected delegates to the state convention, right? So the Broadmoor didn't need to seat all of Colorados voters.
"How is it possible that the people of the great State of Colorado never got to vote in the Republican Primary?" Trump tweeted Sunday evening.
Umm, because Colorado currently doesn't have a primary system, we have a caucus system. You understand that, right NOOB?
That said, the current system sucks, and we need to go back to a primary vote.
You do realize the credentials committee, that will oversee this will be mostly Cruz delegates. I am pretty sure this is going nowhere.
Trump may have gotten wind of how the Party was working over CO and realized it would be a wasteful place to campaign. I’m talking about a few hundred of the prospective delegates which already had been pre-slated for Jeb! See post #12 & my reply up-thread.
He believed his 1/3 Trump delegates would be allowed to breathe. It didn’t happen that way. <—very unethical.
Under regulations established in the 1980s, delegates cannot take money from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors or foreign nationals. But an individual donor is permitted to give a delegate unlimited sums to support his or her efforts to get selected to go to the convention, including money to defray the costs of travel and lodging.
I can see behind the scenes pretty well with the help of my FRiends.
We’ve got the CO party hack system figured out pretty well, Mile Hi.
Oh, and tell Jeb that I said Hello.
“The CO delegates were originally slated to all go for Jeb Bush. There wasnt chance in the world that they were going anywhere else.
No one planned for Jeb to be sidelined, but Trump did it anyway.
So Jeb dropped out.
Since he has suspended his campaign, they needed an insider to be a place holder for the delegates and that turns out to be Cruz, who will control those delegates until the Convention, then, after a few slight of hand tricks, they are slated to go back to Jeb, or maybe Mitt.

Check this out. Makes things a bit clearer how in a state like pot smoking liberal Colorado every single delegate went for the person that could really be classified as a right wing extremist.
That is exactly how Cruz comes across to the rest of the mainstream America —>>as a far-right -extremist.
We have to wonder if some of the Colorado delegate would prefer their remittance payment in herb.
Why disqualify a state when there process was well known? Cruz went to meet with them and put forth the effort.
LOL!
The guy yhat burned his registration form has admitted it was a phony paper and that he was not even a Republican, but Trump keeps hammering away at it and the media says nothing.
Cruz Campaign doing sense Colorado? Crashing and burning
He has dropped to third in most Polls and Today just lost the Italian
What polls??? where are these polls ??? MOST polls ?????? You sound like Trump in January. Kasick is second in most polls??
Do you know what you are talking about??
Wasn’t CO a closed caucus?? Trump can’t win closed Cauci. that’s what Rush said.
And of course you could be a cross dressing liberal which shows why you are throwing things out there without a lick of evidence...
Trump has beat TEd by over a million votes total in Closed Caucus states.
Florida alone, by over 500,000 votes. But Rush obviously would know that since he lives in Florida.
True. An error. Unfortunately the true stories are an avalanche and we peck incessantly at the one story with a mistake. Likely, that TRUMP does not know the update and the media simply does not care.
Sorry more likely my fault He just said something about closed conventions. Tell me, are there living US Citizens that think whoever gets the most raw vote total should be the nominee? I think that is crazy
