RALEIGH Gov. Pat McCrory on Tuesday issued an executive order that changes two provisions in the controversial LGBT-protections law, and reaffirms private sector and local government rights to enact their own non-discrimination policies.
In a statement his office released, the governor said the order was necessary because of widespread confusion about the intent of the Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act. The law has led to substantial opposition from major companies, and hundreds of quantifiable lost jobs.

This will never stop. They have won.
I came to that conclusion a few years ago. Not just about this particular issue, but about the entire political system.
This whole "transvestites in the bathroom" is just American liberalism doing a victory lap.
They're finding every weird fringe group they can and are shoving the associated policies down American's throats just for fun.
They're seeing what they can get away with. And it's pretty much ANYTHING.
We're now at the point in America where f*cking TRANSVESTITES have more political clout than traditional American values.
You're way too optimistic. Any rape, child molestation, or anything else that come from these transvestite laws will be ignored, just like crime from illegal aliens.
The gov’s balls were just prop balls for an election year. They’ve been put up till next season. The situation is normal again.
Yep I meant Gov. Pence. I remember how he slowly twisted in the wind under cross examination from people such as Steohanopolus(sp) regarding that bill. He wilted under pressure.
As an aside, we need conservatives in office who can stand up to the liberals and the media. If we see conservatives pass beneficial legislation, but then back down because people like Steohanoplous are outraged , then what have we really gained??
don’t disagree too much on that but they’ve been pretty quiet in Georgia on the religious freedom bill.
We have gained nothing but cowardly RINOs.
2. The bigger concern is how big business, the very business that we conservatives have protected and supported against unions and liberal for decades, has the power to effectively cut off an entire state. What if Paypal won't take payments from NC? What if FedEx won't deliver to NC? What if Visa won't process payments from NC? What if gas companies won't deliver gasoline to NC?
The implications from this aspect are far more concerning. I say it's time to support unions to get these companies back in line.
