Elections: Donald Trump has been on a tirade about Colorados delegate selection rules this year, saying that voters there were cheated. But Trump never complained when other states rules worked in his favor.

As Harry Enten explains at FiveThirtyEight, Trumps percentages make him the weakest Republican front-runner, at this point in the process, in decades. Reagan, for example, had nearly 50% of the vote and 70% of the delegates by April, the data show.
Trump of all people should know that hes still a long way from closing the deal with the party he hopes to lead and that he isnt close to getting a majority of the delegates he needs to secure the nomination.
Trump is at 60% of the required delegates vs Regan’s 70%. Not bad considering this season has far more candidates running to split the vote.vThere were 10 candidates at the start of the 1980 Republican primary vs 17 at the start of the 2016 Republican primary.
No one who is honest or cares about integrity could possibly support those machinations with a clear conscience.
Now let's be clear....Trump was not ill-prepared or disorganized. Trump's running his campaign like a businessman....when you win, you win. There's no going back to redo the deal. It's iron-clad.
But lowlife Ted ....the human cockaroach....is crawling around 24/7 grabbing delegates he is not entitled to.
If there were any failings, it's b/c the Trump people just did not envision the likes of a scumbag like St Ted, reworking the rules to HIS benefit.......the Saint is obsessed w/ Trump hatred, bent on undoing Trump's wins.
When candidates lose, they gracefully bow out. St Cruz Gives a victory speech. His maniacal lust for power tags him as the kind of candidate the Framers of The Constitution wanted the new Nation to avoid.
More importantly, Cruz will be mathematically eliminated in 1 week.
Remember that lawyers work hard to spring molesters and murders back onto the streets by following the “ rules” in the legal system
Their consciences are clear that this is winning against stupid people who, don’t know the rules
My gripe is con artist Cruz sees a "party rule" and connives to make it work only to HIS advantage.
Crux is exactly the type of candidate w/ an obsessive thirst for power that the Framers of the Constitution wanted the new Nation to guard against.
Cruz is fond of using his numbers as an anti-Trump-vote ...but Cruz never applies Trump's votes against himself.
If Trump won by staggering numbers....that means Cruz lost by staggering numbers.....many many more rejected Cruz than they did Trump.
Does this look like Trump was rejected?
Trump.....8,256,309.... 37.0 1%....758 delegates
Cruz......6,319,244....28.33%.....533 (plus all he can steal)
Cruz keeps losing and losing. About time he bows out gracefully and admit he lost. And he should stop finagling the numbers.
Sanders has a very substantial ground team.
Hillary’s ground team is the demo ground team and it too is really spectacular.
Cruz has a ground team which is formidable.
Trump does not have a ground team. What few he had have been laid off. The demos will eat his lunch in the final election. That is why the delegates are going to Cruz.
Some of you seem very young and maybe haven't actually worked on a political campaign before. Or maybe you've been imbued with the myth that this country, or either political party, is a democracy where the voter rules. That's never been true. And it's only seemed true in past cases where one candidate won an overwhelming majority of votes (something over 50%, at least) and had competent help in maneuvering through fifty (plus ... territories count) individual contests and sets of rules. Bitching and yelling "cheat!" just makes Trump look like the novice in this race who actually thought life and politics are fair. They're not and if Trump wants this he needs to get off his billion dollar a$$ and work for it. The Republicans are pansies compared to the Democrats in the "cheating" department and it's not going to get any easier.
Explain this Einstein, why is it that a ballot with numbers listed # 277 # 278 then #280 # 281?
I’ll tell you; because #279 was a TRUMP delegate so just STFU.
Trump has no delegate problems. Are ya kidding me buddy?
It's not complicated. The primary system deployed in Colorado is corrupt and elitist, empowering insiders and disenfranchising voters. That's the big picture, that's the big issue...and all we hear is snarking about how everybody knew the rules...
The GOPee created Trump and now they're pouring fuel on the fire. We gave the Repubs the House, Senate AND presidency in 2000...look what they did with it. The spinelessness and corruption, combined with W's nation building led to the losses in 2006 and 2008.
Please, they said...give us another chance. Give us the House, we'll stop Obama. Done. Except now we need the Senate...give us that, and we'll for sure stop Obama, THIS TIME...except even after kicking Boehner to the curb, Ryan gave Obama everything he wanted. McConnell promised he would not shut down the government. We understand that message was not aimed at Obama...it was aimed at US.
Promises were made and broken. More bricks in the wall. We concluded, rightly, that elections and government were not about what we wanted...we realized the GOPee had more than its share of elitists...moreover, that they could not be trusted.
Along comes Trump...calls out the Establishment. The Empire strikes back. We're told it's the party, NOT US, who will decide the candidates. Colorado emphasizes the point.
We understand how we got here. If there was any doubt, it's been erased...our leaders intend to tell us how it will be, not the other way around. What's more...we foolishly thought if we didn't like the direction of the government we could replace our leaders. Instead...because of open borders, it appears our 'leaders' have decided to replace us.
That's the story. It's astonishing to me that I have to explain that to you, rather than the other way around. Instead we have to listen to you explain that if Trump were a traditional politician, running a traditional campaign, he would have known about the rules designed to disenfranchise voters. Of course, part of the point about his campaign is that he's not a traditional politician.
Trump has done more for the U.S campaigning for the GOP nomination than some presidents have in their whole 8 years.
The voters like feeling good. They like the truth and when they starve for the truth they’ll take it in whatever form it comes.
The Status Quo is lining up to beat him. Wash over him like a tsunami of negative editorials such as this one.
After you knock him out, the voter hangover is going to be brutal and the backlash will be devastating to conservatives.
Cruz gets what he wants by lying, cheating and outright stealing. His lust for power has taken over his sense of fairness - if he ever had one.
His day of reckoning will come about soon enough. Oddly he is a resurrected Sadducee by way of Canada, look out!
Thing is, trump is either average of a genius right?
Which is is he?
Master business man who hires the best and smartest or average?
Master deal maker or average?
If he’s just average the Washington professionals will dominate his one short term.
I’m not saying this as an insult. He needs to figure things out fast. Faster if he wins. Every county has a machine staffed by people with more experience and knowledge. If he feels tricked or robbed by 8 month old rules how will he deal with the ever changing landscape of the world. How will he deal with a congress that practices slight of hand before breakfast?
Leadership? How can one be a leader against an entrenched enemy (GOPe). They control far too much of the GOP party at every level. They’ll gladly hand the Presidency to Hillary rather than see an outsider like Trump as the winner. Can’t rock that gravy train.
I agree, proves he’s not a POLITICIAN, and we’ve had too many of THEM already.
Politicians are what made the mess we’re in now. We need a builder not another train wreck.
It says a lot about them, that they suck.
It says more about those who don't care that they suck.
They seem to be looking for a loser who whines and cries that he's been cheated, when its his own fault he lost.
Must be Trump's plan with Hillary too.
That's exactly what started turning me off to Cruz. His best bet, being that he is still only 44 years old, would have been to help Trump beat the establishment GOP and he would have set himself up nicely for future runs. Now he has leagued himself with the establishment that the American people are fed up with. Further, his clutching and grabbing for every delegate in a lost cause can only hurt Trump and help the establishment.
He is being used by the GOP establishment to keep Trump under the 1237 so that they can insert their own establishment candidate at the convention (and it won't be Cruz). Cruz is being used and he doesn't seem to have a problem with that. Unless this is some part of a master plan that he and Trump thought up months ago to gobble up the delegates and freeze out the GOP establishment. Maybe Cruz surprises us in the end and throws his support to Trump, in which case, I will apologize for feeling like I do today. But based on Cruz's recent actions, I think he has definitely leagued himself with the establishment - putting his career over country.
