FWIW, I'm hoping for a contested convention at this point. I want nothing more than for Trump to get 1246 delegates and then not be able to get a single delegate from any other candidate on the second and third ballots because he insulted every one of them throughout his campaign. That would be a hoot.

1237 is the number. So you're saying that even if he had 1246, he couldn't get them on the 2nd or 3rd ballot. He wins on the 1st ballot with 1246. Why would there even be a 2nd or 3rd ballot?
The only way this couldn't happen on the 1st ballot is if the delegates that were committed to vote the voters' will on the first ballot actually didn't. You think that would be a 'hoot'?
